About this listen

Once upon a time, a series of portals opened on Earth, allowing magic to spill into the human world.

Houses were created. Supernaturals were assigned. And a new balance was formed.

All new arrivals are required to join a House.

But this is the tale of a goddess who refused, and the House King who brought her to heel.

Nyx. Goddess of Night. My newest obsession.

The daring female killed one of my men.

Which made it my job as the Gold and Garnet House King to make her pay.

Oh, there were so many things I wanted to do with that disobedient little mouth of hers. But she was much stronger than she led anyone to believe. Now, I’m left with a craving I can’t quite sate. Because one bite wasn’t enough.

You may be the Goddess of Night, but I’m still your king.

You will kneel.

You will beg.

And most importantly, you will bleed.

Welcome to the House of Gold and Garnet, where power defines the monarchy and blood is a preferred currency. Proceed at your own risk.

Author’s Note: Crave Me is a dark standalone paranormal romance set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every audiobook in this shared world is a guaranteed happily-ever-after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers.

For fans of the Blood Alliance series, this is the story of Nyx and Vesperus, the goddess and her vampire lover that started it all....

Loved the banter between Vesperus and Nyx

I really enjoyed this installment of the Immortal Vices and Virtues shared world. I had listened to one of the spinoff and remembering them talking about characters that are main stays in this story and wanting to know what happened. I liked Nyx a lot and her BA-ery made for a compelling storyline. She didnt take cr@p from anyone and her snark and resulting humor was great, I didnt expect it from this story based on the blurb. The way she let Vesperus in a little at a time made for a good relationship building and storyline. I wanted to see how the two could come together and help save each other/their people.

I liked the mystery and intrigue of this book. The author does a good job stringing you along and making you think one thing and then they pull the rug out of from under you and your mind is racing trying to figure out what is going on. I liked the twist with someone in Vesperus' group being not so good haha and thats all I will say! I liked her powers, how she wielded it and talked to it and let it do what it wanted hahaha. The things she could do were so fun! I thought the thing that happened in the shop was fantastic haha. She has been one of my favorites characters of the shared world so far!

Vesperus was interesting and conflicted with how he was supposed to treat Nyx. Like she is a goddess, good luck keeping her contained or punishing her haha. I liked some of the side characters and enjoyed their interaction with him and helping to save the kingdom from some evil plans. Someone doesnt like how he has run things and all heck breaks loose! The tension between Nyx and him is fabulous and though I wish I had more sexy times, it was done well and had a lot of tension and spice thrown in throughout the story.

Narration was good in this one, this author tends to use them a lot and pretty much why change a good thing if it is working. I thought these two felt like they had chemistry with their portrayals and did a good job with all the inflections and changes in scenery, a lot of different interactions, various snafu's from Nyx just appearing and doing that she wanted haha. Great job on this one, I thought I wouldn't like the M/F stories as much as the RH ones but this one proved me wrong!

Dual & duet for the win!

The narrators in this style made the book soooo much more magical. I loved this story so much! The narrators were just awesome. I’m obsessed with this series and hopeful some of the missing ones on audible are done soon!

❤️ Nyx & Vesperus/Blood Alliance origin story

Fantastic origin story for Nyx and Vesperus, their beginning in Gold and Garnet. I’ve loved all the books in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, and this one continued that trend. This book has a great story, and two characters with excellent spice, both of whom are incredibly powerful, and not afraid of a powerful partner.

Nyx is the Goddess of Creation, and she’s been jumping between realms in search of something that calls to her, and makes her want to stay. When she lands in this realm, her enchanted medallion, which is what enables her movement between realms, and is somewhat sentient, vanishes on her, which she takes as a bit of a game of hide and seek, and forces her to spend time and learn more about this new realm she’s landed in. Unfortunately her vast power upsets the balance, and many who encounter her or are effected by it, aren’t happy about her arrival.

As king of Gold and Garnet, Vesperus is tasked with locating the source of this power disturbance, and doing something about it - preferably elimnating it.but when he discovers the source, and then realizes that she’s his fated mate, the entire game changes. How can he protect his realm and his region and hold on to his fated mate, or will he need to reject her and let her go?

I absolutely loved this story. Nyx is an incredibly powerful goddess. She knows what she wants, and she takes no sh*t from anyone. When she meets Vesperus, she’s immediately drawn to him, and there are humorously a lot of thoughts of licking (by both of them), and they banter and tease and play off each other brilliantly. All the while, an additional mystery of sabotage and apparent betrayal is playing out. There is excellent chemistry, great secondary characters, and fantastic spice woven throughout a thoroughly engaging and entertaining story. Even if you’re not familiar with Lexi’s Blood Alliance series, this is a great book, all on it’s own, but if you are familiar with it, it’s a fantastic standalone addition to the series!

The narration truly brought this story to life

I had previously read Crave Me - but the audio?
Brought it to a whole new level
Spot of narration

This was a blast to read
A great mix of fun, mystery, action, and hades-level smexiness
all heralded by a fantastically idiosyncratic cast

Ves was a goner the moment he caught her scent,
But when he set his gaze upon her frivolous frolicking
- It was a wrap-
He tried to deny his desire (it was admirable 😂)
But some things are just meant to be

Nyx is such a blast - innocent, curious, playful, deadly
With way more self-control than I could ever hope to have
She just wanted to make new friends, experience their world- maybe even hang out for a bit ---
But noooooo
You all had to keep trying to dispose of her
That was okay though she could hold her own
Then you took it too far
You messed with what was hers

Enjoyable quick listen

This is my first book in the Vices and Virtues series (4th in the series) but not my last.
Nyx was so much fun, her indignation at certain situations had me laughing, Vesperus and Nyx were well matched and the chemistry between them was perfect. There are side characters that I fell in love with as well. This is definitely a reread for me and I highly recommend this book

Love Nyx

Lexi's book is #4 in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series and one you do not want to miss. Each story is by a different author. Completely blew my mind with the storytelling and characters. I feel in love with Nyx and Vesperus delicious and beautiful at the same time.

Foss brings another epic escape...

I’ve recently figured out that Foss’s “The Blood Alliance” series is my all-time favorite—and have been planning a re-read/binge-fest on it … again. So naturally, I had to read this prequel-type installment.

Instantly, I love Nyx—she’s confident, cool, a total badass, and hilarious!
Vesperus is admirable as well, with my idea of good values and traits of a strong leader—down to earth and always putting his people first.

The world-building is epic and this will drop you right into another world where the drama and stakes are high but … still a world I want to be in. I expect you will too.

We see a strong king at war with his own feelings and Nyx, a true goddess, contend with lots and do it with mostly cool heads and grace.

Will 100% read this again. A brilliant addition to this world—I expect all fans of “The Blood Alliance” will love it.

5 stars.

Audio—
Perfection. The voices, the delivery, the performance, all perfect. In fact, it was so perfect, that this 8+ hour book disappeared in what felt like only minutes. No one can make 8-10 hours disappear faster than Foss … at least for me.
5-star performance.

🌻Enjoyable glimpse into the Beginning🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

This was an interesting glimpse into origins, of the blood alliance. It was a bit of a stretch, but I didn’t care, it was an interesting listen.

I wish audible had more of the books, from this series, available.

Not sure where this is going in the series?

Narrators are awesome, and maybe if there was more in the series available I could feel better about the story. "SPOILER" No, I did not like the way the story ended, something about the story the primary characters were just too powerful for the turn of events. The narrators are awesome and the male narrator made my toes curl but it just wasn't enough. Buy at your own risk, yea I love HEA but the story just pissed me off.
