Publisher's summary

I’m starting over.

Moving to a new town to start college, where I can try to be normal. Or at least pretend I am.

I’m willing to fake it, because I’m tired of trying to get better. Tired of spilling my guts to doctors and therapists to understand why I’ve heard voices since I was a child.

The meds are working...for now, but if they stop, I’ll never tell. I just want to live my life, and if that means ignoring why so many people think I’m crazy, so be it.

She’s the most silent storm I’ve ever witnessed.

Waylynn is as pretty as a picture, curvy, with hazel eyes that always seem to evade everyone’s gaze.

She’s been avoiding me since our first encounter, but fate intervenes and brings her right back to me...and my brother.

Now I need to know more.

Seeing Sound is the first book of the Tasting Madness series. This is a reverse-harem novel with adult themes and situations.

AMAZING STORY! JUST WOW.

The Narration is top tier. The writing superb! The character development was unlike any book I've read in awhile. I love the way they obsess over the MFC. I cant wait for the book to drop tomorrow so I cam get over that cliff hanger!

Great

I knew it was a cliffhanger before I bought it but the reviews were so stellar that I got it anyway even though I hate cliffhangers. However, it’s a credit well spent & I plan on getting the next book. Narration was wonderful. Kudos to them. I was totally invested in the story. Memphis is a bit too controlling but that’s his personality. Wayland is a bit mousy & I’m not sure what the voices have to do with anything & I’m hoping the next book will clear this up for me. Love Oz.

Love it

Amazingly good from beginning to end.The narrators did a great job. The only downside is the split into 3 books, but definitely getting the remaining 2.

This book will suck you in!

I don’t know if I can adequately describe this book in words! I loved everything about it!

Waylynn Graff has been hearing voices for as long as she can remember. They have been her constant companions. After being in a live-in mental health facility at Netherwood, Waylynn moves into her own house to start her Freshman year of college in Michigan, far away from family in California. This is her first time being alone, she has always had roommates or her family, or at least the voices… But the voices are gone because of the meds. Or so she hopes.

Oswald “Oz” Gravlin is a freshman football player. Football has been his life for years. His brother, Memphis Gravlin, has been taking care of him since their parents died. Memphis is the TA for the English class that Oz and Waylynn are both taking. When Waylynn bumps into Memphis at orientation the first day, there is an instant connection between the two, even though they never talk.

Memphis will do anything to get closer to her, to find out more about her. Oz is intrigued by her as well. She is beautiful, and she catches the attention of nearly everyone she passes, but she doesn't seem to notice because of her timid, shy demeanor. Memphis and Oz are determined to get to know her better, even if she is closed off. She keeps her secrets close to her vest. She is a mystery they can't seem to solve! All Memphis and Oz know is that she has them under her spell, and they don't want to escape.

I can't wait to see how this entire series unfolds, the characters have sucked me in and are so dynamic! The book is a slower paced book, and has very little spice, so if that is what you were expecting in this book you might be disappointed. But the characters pulled me in, and I know that Walker is building up to something amazing, like always, and the journey will be well worth the read! It ended on a cliffhanger, so if that isn’t your thing, you might want to wait until the rest of the series is out! It is listed as a Reverse Harem/Why Choose, and though there wasn't a ton of adult content in this book, Walker is certainly moving in that direction.

Audio book review: Vanessa Moyen and Jacob Morgan do an absolutely superb job at narrating this book. It is done in a duet style narration (Meaning, Vanessa is always Waylynn for all parts, and Jacob does Oz, Memphis, and Bates voices in all chapters). It is probably one of the best duets I have ever listened to. The transitions between characters are flawless, without long silent pauses in between each character speaking. The give and take between narrators is closer to what you would get with a screen play, and it has a very authentic feel to it! Both of the narrators had the same volume and speed, and I didn’t need to adjust any settings throughout the book (a problem sometimes when you have more than one narrator). Both narrators were clear, and the recordings crisp. I liked both of them for the parts they played. I am excited for the next book!!
