About this listen

Crick City is a small hick town. Violent, mean, and dirt-poor, it's a place nobody wants to call home.

But for homicide cop Phil Straker, it is home. And now someone—or something—is turning his boyhood town into a bloody sideshow of mutilation and gruesome carnage.

They're called Creekers. Centuries old, driven by rage and lust for revenge, they move through the deep, dark woods—deformed, shadowy outcasts with twisted faces and blood red eyes. Now, as the moon hangs low over their ancient house, they're gathering for a harvest of terror and death Crick City will never forget....

Best Edward lee novel. great combo of white trash gothic and dunwich style horror / mystery

great narrator, great story

This checks all the boxes for what I consider to be decent horror. The narrator had limited ability, but what he could do, he did very well. My only wish was the very old-fashioned depiction of women purely as one dimensional objects. Otherwise, the author is a very talented writer, and that is somewhat a rarity in horror fiction.

Pretty Good

I enjoyed the fact that it kept me in grip. I was figuring out by the time I got to the end that there was more to it going on than what it wanted me to believe and I figured it out when everything come out this story was very well written.

This was such a good story

Great Edward Lee audiobook

the naration was great. Voice was easy on the ears and no overt attempts to sound female or child like which for me becomes annoying quickly. The story kept me interested and trying to guess what would be the next turn. The final turn did catch me a bit unsuspecting but after thinking about it didn't seem out of the question. Recommend it highly.

great naration gripping story

Great book, but hard to start with the narrators voice, but once you're hooked there's no better choice to have read the story.

Worth it

parts where well written but the whole book is pretty much overly sexual horror smutt and the ending is the biggest middle finger i have gotten in a long time from a book

poorly written horror smut

I thought story was good, but it seemed like each plot/sub plot was buttoned up way too simply. But if you’re down for weird, this’ll do ya.

Narrator was eating the mic the whole story. Was really bad at first and only got marginally better.

Original idea but was just ok

Narrator took a little getting used to but overall I was highly entertained by the story. Definitely not for the squeamish.

Down and dirty "hob-nobbing!"

Edward Lee is a phenomenal author. This book was perfectly tied together in the end while still leaving you with questions as to what would happen next, another 5 star!

LOVED this one!
