Publisher's summary

House of Passion

Hildreth House. On a moonlight night in early spring, 27 people entered the mansion's labyrinthine halls, to partake in an orgy of diabolical debauchery, the likes of which beggared description. And one by one, 26 of them were butchered in place. The 27th body was never recovered.

House of Sin

The screams have faded, and the blood has dried but the spectral house remains...waiting.

House of Hell

Welcome to the mansion made in Hell

excellent book

I enjoyed every second of this book. I'd call it a spiritual successor to Richard Matheson's Hell House.

psychics and lustful ghosts need I say more

First off the summary does a horrible job explaining what the book is about. I will not go into to much detail myself because the mystery element helps regarding this book. The summary of the 27 dead is really what sets the book up where Hildreth's wife hires a bunch of psychics and a writer to investigate the murders and the disappearance of her husband. This leads a unique group to the haunted house that was used not just a satanic cult but a porn company.

Obviously there are a lot of sexual references within the theme but I wouldn't category this book under horror porn myself but it's not far off. The best way to explain it is for those who seen old horror Hentai from the 90s which focuses more on the story then the sex scenes. Lee does get creative with a few scenes with ghosts going after girls but also leaves a good amount to the imagination. So if you are looking for Exotic horror with nothing but sex or gore then this book may not be for you. At the same time if you are triggered by any time of assault or gruesome description then you probably shouldn't be looking at the author in the first place. In my opinion there is a good balance here.

I do have to bring up the Narrator. It was a struggle for about the first half of this book where he over pronounced evey other word. It does get better by the end and I even liked some of the different distinctions between characters.

best thing was the narrator

Very glad I didn't spend money on this title. However, it's hrs I will never get back. The only thing that got me through this book was the narrator (he has an interesting voice) and the hope that the next chapter would be different. I love my horror books/movies/Tv shows. I adored Spartacus blood and sand. This though is like torture porn meets scooby doo, a hint of Thirteen Ghosts with a side of 8 MM and little incel sexual frustration on top. Clive Barker's Coldheart Canyon was good. This was boring.. Still that is my opinion -- maybe not the next readers.
