Publisher's summary

Claire Barclay is enthusiastic about her British Mystery Book Tour business. She enjoys taking her guests, usually from America, to the settings of mystery novels where bodies are long dead. Her neighbor's plea for help to deal with a recently murdered well-known author unsettles her. She leaves the body to the police and takes her guests to Cornwall, including a British tourist who far is too interested in the dead author.

Emma Dakin

I love the description of all the places she takes her groups to, it’s better than a guide book. Even though I’ve been to Cornwall many times I learned things I didn’t know and long to go back and explore her footsteps. Also it wouldn’t be the same without Bianca Amato narrating her stories, she’s absolutely brilliant.

Cozy, good story

Overall good, I wish the lady reading was younger and closer to the age of the character, she did a fine job but it loses a little luster at certain points in the story.

Clues were kind of hard to spot.

this book left me wondering right until almost the end who did it. there were no clues to spot or contemplate. I love the character. however, I almost pick this as another romantic mystery.

Could have done without the moralizing

on vaccines. People don't vaccinate until the neighbor's (vaccinated) kid dies. Then, they see the point in vaccination. Total bosh.

We've all seen the rampant myocarditis from 'following the science', not to mention 2 weeks to slow the curve. How about 2 years wasted.

Anyway. the book was good except for this last-minute 'jab' at those smart enough not to inject themselves with poison.

The narration was fine.

Excellent story and narration

Interesting story, great narration and on point with characters from older British mysteries in reference.

Great and novel story

The narrator was amazing as she quickly voiced the many different dialects and characters. The story takes the reader on a tour of Cornwall and its unique character. It is a character on its own. The people are so real you think you know them. The mystery was unusual. Great book.

I enjoyed the details about Cornwall.

The voices for the Americans in British books and tv shows are often performed in a way I find offensive, and this was no exception.

Too Many Mundane Details

Slow paced because it is filled with too many unnecessary details. Unless you want to know what kind of salad dressing they chose. The story drags on predictably and the characters are 2 dimension-able at best. The book is a C, not C+, not C-, just a C.
