Publisher's summary

At the tender age of seventeen, Chris aka Capone was snatched off the streets away from everything he loved and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The reputation he’d worked so hard for on the streets meant nothing behind the walls. His manhood would be tested all over again shaping his mentality as an adult along the way. But thanks to some loyal friends and a million prayers Capone would be given another chance at life almost ten years later. This time he has plans to move differently and make everyone rooting for him proud, but those same friends that helped him at his lowest point could prove to be his unraveling. When her boyfriend went to jail for life, Evelyn had no choice but to move on. After graduating college, she had to feel her way through some things until she found the career path she believed was her destiny. After ending a long-term relationship she was reunited with Capone knowing he could surely use a friend. It doesn’t take long for her to realize that her feelings for him would never die but when the news breaks that he’ll be coming home she has some tough decisions to make. If she allows Capone back into her life it could ruin everything she’s built. Will Capone be the man that Evelyn need’s him to be or will he destroy both of their lives in the process of trying to find his path?

Ngl when I saw the title, I assumed it was about a woman being a cry baby. After reading it, I am a little surprised that it wasn’t what I thought. This the 2nd installment but the whole series is a good read.

Good read!!

I enjoyed this 2 part series. The first book was his young/teenage years and this 2nd book is his adult life. He went through a lot! I was glad to see that there was eventually a turning point. Loved the relationship between Chris and Tomiko. And Evelyn was great for him, but I was glad to see that although she remained a part of his support system, she didn’t put her life and goals on hold. This was a really good read!
