Publisher's summary

Check into the Damselfly Inn and fall in love with Thornton, Vermont.

When a late summer storm drops a tree branch through her roof, Thornton’s new innkeeper wonders if the quaint village is really as perfect as it seems.

Nan Grady hasn’t had time for dating, never mind romance. Hospitality is her full time job, but she can’t deny her attraction to local contractor Joss Fuller. Joss prefers things simple, until Nan and her inn disrupt his steady, small-town routine.

Now there’s a honeymoon suite to remodel, a woman from Joss’s past checked in on the second floor, and a mysterious vandal targeting the Damselfly Inn - all conspiring to tear Nan and Joss apart. Can the promise of new love hold them together?

Book 1 - small town romance

Book 1 in Garriepy's Thornton Vermont series. Main characters are new Inn keeper Nan and Joss - carpenter and general contractor. Nan is an old soul and is independent and determined with a great support system of friends. When she meets and falls in love with Joss - who grew up next door to her Inn his protectiveness while sweet becomes a bit of a sticking point between the two. Small town romance with some mystery and suspense but an overall sweet and innocent feel to the read. Good storyline and flow and perfect narration. I usually prefer a dual narration but this one was perfect! Looking forward to seeing what other secrets this small town and it's inhabitants may uncover next!

Fun Story

This was my first experience with Cameron D. Garriepy's work and it was good. Nan Grady owned and managed the Damselfly Inn. During a storm, a branch fell onto and damaged the inn's roof. Nan hired Joss Fuller to repair it. As Nan gets to know Joss, she finds herself drawn to him. The story was fun and had some interesting twists. I recommend this tale to others who enjoy this genre with the understanding that there was some foul language utilized and some minor descriptive sexual scenes. Robin Siegerman's narration was good and her voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Nan Grady finds herself in the midst of making changes in her life and becoming the new innkeeper keeps her busy. Just to add one more thing or maybe a few more, she has to deal with Joss and all that comes with him and the inn. Come take a journey to Thornton, VT and the Damselfly Inn. See what happens in book one of this contemporary romance.

Robin Siegerman, nice to meet you and your voice. Thank you for layering this new journey for me with tone, pitch, diction, and distinction. I could follow the characters and make sense of all that was happening without seeing all the punctuation and paragraph indentions. The big thank you to Cameron Garriepy for the words to this story and the trip to Thornton VT.
