En route to Netherfield on horseback, Fitzwilliam Darcy is caught in a heavy, unexpected snowstorm. When he stumbles across a carriage accident, with a dead driver wearing Longbourn livery, he fears the worst upon finding an empty carriage. He sets out to find the missing Bennet, hoping it is not his beloved Elizabeth. When he finds her, and it is his love, he is determined to save them both from the elements. Taking shelter in an abandoned cottage is their only choice, but it will compromise them. Darcy will gladly offer for Elizabeth, but will she accept? Have her feelings changed since Hunsford?

This steamy variation tinkers with Ms. Austen’s timeline. In this version, Lizzy was in London when Darcy was at Longbourn with Bingley. When he called at the Gardiners’ in London, she had already returned home, leaving him to assume she deliberately avoided him due to not having changed her opinion about him, and leaving Lizzy thinking he had vanquished his love for her when she did not hear from him. Misunderstandings and an abundance of pride still separate ODC at the start of this tale.

I've read this in Kindle Unlimited and very much enjoyed it so I decided to see what the audible version was like. I knew if it had a bad narrator, it would ruin it.

B. J. Vance is fantastic! He has a deep, sensual voice that gave me happy squiggles to listen to. He does a good job with Lizzy's voice too, which is good. It makes me hope that he will do more books, romantic ones in particular.

I enjoyed it.

A short, delightful bit of erotic fun

An interesting what if story that is engaging, explains the changed events/premise clearly, and indulges your romantic fantasies. The narrator does all of the voices very well, switching between male and female in a non-weird way. I felt it was a good amount of canon personality elements with new risqué actions that I was looking for.

This is a good short story. Darcy comes across an accident and fears for Elizabeth. From there he does everything to make sure she is safe. They talk and yes do other things.
The narrator was great.

I believe this story could have been a bit longer. It was a bit too quick to action and it was a bit unbelievable what Lizzy did. Mature audience.

From other reviews I was prepared for a more mature theme for this novella. However, I was surprised how out of character Lizzy was in this story.

She went from the proper Ms. Elizabeth to not balking at having to remove her clothing to be the one that initiated the actions that follow by essentially grabbing “Mister Darcy” and asking whether anyone has ever put something in their mouth. Mr. Darcy would have needed a Will of iron to resist her.

Mr. Vance did a good job of narration, although the delivery tended to have a one note delivery.

There were also sound issues with the recording.
