About this listen

Book I - Cursed!

Life for Dan Westridge used to be easy.

Used to be. His father was once one of the richest men in the City of Sacramento. So what if his parents never had time for him? Made him work weekends and after school? Only allowed him to date the "right" kind of women? He still had a pretty easy life: servants, good food, nice clothes, the latest games, and not a lot of expectations working at the family business.

Then one day it all started to very quickly fall apart and months later, he's living on the street, slowly starving to death, his parents dead, and all of the family fortune is gone. He's been beaten, robbed, and had to learn the hard way how to survive as just another of the unfortunate homeless living on the streets. He's struggling, but he's alive and surely things will get better....

After all, how could it possibly get any worse?

Book II - BeDeviled

Two down and three to go! If Dan was keeping score, and he is, that's about where his life sits right now. Of course there's still a nasty curse that's taking every opportunity to mess with his life causing him problems, but Wrath, one of the sexier aspects of his curse seems to know how to keep all of that under control.

Unfortunately, Dan's curse can't be removed until they free her friends. Otherwise they'd be forced to kill him, and both Wrath and Aella, really aren't very fond of doing away with him just yet. But there are bigger problems on the horizon for Dan, like the Wizard the cursed both him and the girls.

WARNING: Cursed! and BeDeviled contains explicit sexuality, nudity, violence, bad language, attempted murder, shootings, robbery, breaking and entering, axe wielding demons, attempted raps, murder, lost innocence, destruction of private property, theft, no arson (yet), demonic sex, gratuitous sex, mayhem, more violence, car bombs, liars and other cheats, and yes, there really is a hidden stage and bar in the Lion's Building in downtown Sacramento.

A funny story about a curse

Loved it. The characters were interesting and the story gave hints without giving away too much. It had a bit of a Valens legacy vibe, but certainly stood proudly on its own.

Great job by the Narrators as well. I am looking forward to hearing the next books as well 🙂

Similar to the lion story

loved it has all the stuff i loved from the lion stories and its set in my hometown of Sacramento. Setting a book in my hometown gives it a big plus for me because everyone thinks of LA or SF but this is the capital. I hope the author makes more of these books in audible. i think i have all the books for jan van stry. keep up the good work

Good stuff

First, the performance is just awesome. Best part of the book. The story is good, really entertaining. It just lacks a good conclusion. Good concepts. Good execution. But neither book one nor two reached a good stopping point. I do want to read the next one, but it feels like the next chapter rather than the next book. I enjoyed it and in the end, that is all that matters.

Epic

All around tier 1 grade, outstandingly well written, and read by both Jessica and Daniel. It was hot, like need a tall glass of water type hot and yeah I can go on and on about it but just buy it, trust me you won’t regret it.

A surprisingly enjoyable book

I have always enjoyed Jessica’s voice and what she can bring to a character. The story is growing every hour. Sexy, fun listen. Jan has a winner here. I will continue to buy the sets. Enjoy

wearing food

another fantastic furry smut book by Jan Stryvant.
the main issue I had, unfortunately, was with Jessica's voice acting. overall she was quite good, however there were two glaring problems.
1. her sentences were too clipped, numerous times the last word in her narration or character dialogue was either partially missing or completely gone.
2. not sure if this was a script error or pronunciation error, but she repeatedly pronounced "balaclava" (or ski mask in English) as "baklava"( a dessert often served in the Mediterranean). while it is funny to hear about Dan and gang wearing food, it still bothered me that her editors did not catch it.

overall, a ton of fun!

Great story. Great characters. Superb performance! a great start to a fun story. I loved how Jessica Threet and Daniel Wisniewski brought it to life. Magic, demons and the righting of injustice!
