About this listen

So Darius warned her when she accepted a position with his traveling troupe. And gazing mesmerized at the merciless slash of his mouth, the implacable resolve on his face, the soulless emptiness of his black eyes, Tempest was afraid to ask what it was.

She had always been different, apart from others. From the moment his arms closed around her, enveloping her in a sorcerer's spell, Darius seemed to understand her unique gifts. But did his kiss offer the love and belonging she sought, or a danger more potent than his own panthers?

Somewhere deep inside herself, Tempest realized she knew the answer. She had no choice but to accept the velvet stroke of his tongue, submit to the white-hot heat piercing her skin, welcome an erotic pleasure like no other.

I’ve read the entire dark series many years ago. I am now re-reading them via audible and Kaleo Griffith is the best narrrator so far. I wish they kept him for the more recent books. He really brought all the characters to life.

The best narrator so far

Kaleo Griffith is a great narrator for this series. I enjoyed listening to this book, and can say I will listen to any story narrated by Kaleo - it was a job well done.

This was done right!

Darius is a wonderful character. There were no false accents (imitation Italian or Russian) to Mar listening pleasure. Not too much Carpathian language sentences which can be really boring. Feehan at her best.

I loved the humor in this book and the different dialog between character than the other books because these characters grew up on their own without realizing there were others of their kind. Great story, no cliff hangers, happy ending.

Loved the humor

I have read this series and dark fire was the first book I read by Christen Feehan. And that's how my love of this series began
Now I am listening to this series because it's just that good. I recommend this series to anyone who will listen. I also enjoy this narrative. He ads good tones and the women don't sound like weak twits thru his reading. Love the emotions he gives each character. Worth a credit or cash. Happy listening!!!!

Awesome book!

Even over bearing men can be taught how to behave in modern times. Go girls....😇

The narrator is very good. I liked Tempest but found her constantly stumbling into danger because of insisting on her independence very annoying. Darius was fun and his character development was very interesting. Barak and Syndil deserved at least a novella of their own.

Nice story, good ending

I've enjoyed Christine Feehan's books for many years. This was like reading it for the first time! Fighting with a constant migraine, I find this an exciting way to still enjoy my favorite author!
