I’ve been a fan of Ms Lucas since book one of this series ! How she keeps it going and still connected I’ll never know. I enjoyed this because it connected another piece of the puzzle with a new group of people mentioned several books ago. I just hate when they end!

Orion, Alena’s, Kalugal, Jacki, Arwel, Jin, Carol, Lokan,Phinas, Welgost and Shamash all are on the team to travel to China to try an find out more about what happened to the Kra-ell. Since they are there they decide to make a quick to Lugu Lake at an archeological site that Kalugal has team digging for artifacts. While there
Jacki has a vision while holding an artifact. It’s a mask of a scary looking face that had huge ears and big slanted holes for eyes. Jacki sees a young girl who is scared by the mask and where she ran off and insists that the team goes in search for her not knowing if she is there alive or in the past where she might have died. cavern. They find Aliya who is Kra-ell.
Going to be interesting to see where she is going.
There is an interesting twist to who is Vlods biological father (Vrog). As the fates continue to work there magic bringing new people to the clan and tangling into what is currently going on.

Love this series. Great story lines with intrigue and humor.

I've always liked Alena, but now I get why her character is so important. She's like the cornerstone of the Clan. Annani is awesome, obviously, but Alena is the rock that keeps everything steady. I want to be bff's with her.

I am really enjoying this series. Lucas is great at letting the story evolve naturally as new characters are introduced. While still including updates to older characters and story lines.
