Publisher's summary

The conclusion to the groundbreaking Level 26 trilogy, a series of edgy, unconventional thrillers about an FBI operative tasked with the ultimate search-and-destroy mission: to take down the world's most dangerous serial killers.

Anthony E. Zuiker's Level 26 novels have blazed a highly successful interactive trail, with a groundbreaking cross-platform combination of novel, website, and hi-def video: There are more than 100,000 registered users on Level26.com, all of them eager to see what happens next. And for the finale to his trilogy, Zuiker has outdone himself.

In Dark Revelations, Steve Dark faces the most intricate, intense, and explosive case of his career. The killer calls himself Labyrinth, and the riddles, puzzles, and wordplay with which he announces his new targets have caused a worldwide media sensation. The case has already claimed a number of highprofile individuals as victims - not to mention several government agencies, which have tried and failed to stop a growing global panic.

But what point is Labyrinth trying to make? Who will be his next victim? It's up to Dark to assemble a team from among the smoking rubble of the international crime-solving community, find Labyrinth wherever he may be, and put a stop to the mayhem, once and for all.

Can Steve Dark solve the biggest riddle of them all? Only time will tell.

Listen to another Level 26 thriller.

Not as good as the first 2

It was a bit of a bore.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Guess it was too political for me.

Which character – as performed by David Aaron Baker – was your favorite?

All the characters were okay

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Not real sure about this one

Another Great Listen!

This trilogy is my favorite thriller series. Level 26: Dark Revelations (the best and creepiest), Dark Prophecy and Dark Revelations. All three were fast paced page turners and had excellent narrators! It is best to listen to these stories in order. Even though I had already listened to the previous books I stated at the beginning again when this latest book was released (very good the second time around) The accompanying cyber-bridge videos (very well done) at Level 26 make these thriller stories come to life even more. If you are a fan of Mr Zuiker's CSI TV series, then you probably will like this trilogy. Can hardly wait for more!

Terrifying thriller caps the series

Would you listen to Dark Revelations again? Why?

Yes, I would. It's an odd story, and you sometimes have to be careful that certain facts don't slip by you.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dark Revelations?

The attack on the newswoman in South Africa. I wanted to tell her, "Run away!" That doesn't work, though.

What about David Aaron Baker’s performance did you like?

His voice is very creepy. It's the kind that makes you want to check to make sure that the lights are on.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was frustrated at some of the plot points- they tested my believability factor. You can have crazy plot twists in a mystery, yes, but if you make them too weird, you almost have to move to science fiction. Nothing wrong with sci-fi, but they're just different. Still, the sense of fear adds to the anticipation. It's the audio equivalent of a page-turner. You always want to know what's coming next.

Any additional comments?

The end is very strange. I really hope the author will come up with more mysteries, even if this seems to be the end of the trilogy. A shocking book, but a real adventure for those who like their villains super-creepy. Listen with the lights on!

Steve Dark series.. I like it !

The Steve Dark character isn't for everyone. He's a Noir Detective. With the works. Introspective and there are always lots of villain's . He's a rogue agent. Vigilante that gets to do pretty much what he wants.

I would recommend to lovers of comic books or graphic novels. He's that type of guy. Writing is excellent by Anthony Zuiker. Narrator is good for this series.

Dark Revelations

Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Revelations to be better than the print version?

Yes, I love to listen to books read. It becomes real and the reader is fabulous.

What other book might you compare Dark Revelations to and why?

Hard to say as all audible books I select I am aware of the author and reader before purchase.

What about David Aaron Baker’s performance did you like?

His characterization of each character.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Awesome Ending to the series

I had a hard time putting this book on pause. This like the other two before it was superbly written. The authors collaboration on this story resulted in a thrilling, entertaining experience that kept me guessing until the last moment. David Aaron Baker did a great job in his performance, using distinct voices and personality traits to help me keep track if who was speaking.

Not as good as the first of the series!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The author spent too much time restating the storyline from the first book, presumably so you wouldn't need to read them in order but it was very tedious. This trend continued in the final book and really diminished my enjoyment. The first was definitely the best!
