About this listen

In a world where light deceives and darkness speaks in whispers, Cait Reagan’s quest to save her sister will awaken powers—and enemies—beyond her wildest nightmares. Bound for Ireland, Cait’s mission to rescue her sister, Aoife, falters before it even begins.

The journey ahead is perilous, and Cait’s complicated feelings for Elizabeth and Nastasia only deepen the stakes. But even worse, the Light Fae—once the guardians of all that is good—have transformed into something far darker. The Emerald Isle, meant to be a sanctuary, feels more like a snare closing in.

Caught in the chaos of Cait and Nastasia’s frantic escape from Boston is Maggie, a no-nonsense Army medic. Though held hostage, Maggie might be more than she seems, her presence stirring questions Cait isn’t ready to face. Meanwhile, Doyle is changing—her innocent cravings slowly becoming darker, unsettling the group as much as their enemies. And then there’s Rowan, an ancient vampire said to be the first of his kind—impossible to predict and even harder to trust.

Yet Cait’s most dangerous enemy might be herself. A dark power stirs within her, reshaping her thoughts, her actions, and perhaps even her soul. As her companions grow more uncertain, Cait begins to fear that the person they knew is slipping away—replaced by something far more dangerous. Haunted by a voice—her own, yet not—whispering truths she’s terrified to confront, Cait must face the unraveling of her identity while trying to discern friend from foe in a world gone mad.

Dark, gripping, and steeped in supernatural peril, Dark Sisters is a tale of light veiled in shadow. Cait’s battle to save her sister could cost her everything—even herself. And as the mist clears, one terrifying truth becomes clear: her greatest challenge lies ahead—against a foe she never saw coming.

Hoping there is another book coming!

Great continuation of the storyline. There is more focus on magic and the other worlds and battles. Looking forward to finding out how it all ends.

Strength of Will

Fantasy is not my usual favorite genre but from the first word of this series to the last of this latest book I have enjoyed every character good or bad and every detail of the past and present. Abby Craden and Aoibh Wood are a great team. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Can’t get enough

I love this series. I would thoroughly enjoy a vacation in the imagination of Ms. Wood. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings. Ms. Craden, as usual, provides outstanding narration. Her voice acting breathes life into every story. If you haven’t listened to the series yet, you should. If you like paranormal stories… what are you waiting for? 😀

Craving more and more

At the end of each book, it makes me chomp at the bit for the next. Between the authors writing and the preformance of the narrator - you won't want to put this book (and series) down. Another master piece to this series.

Another incredibly detailed addition to the series

I really liked this fourth installment. I feel like it could have been twice as long. Delving more into the history and what was occurring in real time. I will have to listen to this book again once Book 5 is released. There was so much detail.

Incredible writing by Aoibh Wood.
And as always incredible narrating by the woman I would literally bow down before, The Abby Craden.

WHAT

I've been invested with these books but all I have to say is there better be another. I was NOT happy with this one, especially with the one character we were not expecting to suddenly come to an end. The characters in these books are amazing but the story is just so much, I want to see a happy ending. Narration was 5/5, Characters 5/5, but the story is a 2/5 for me. Simplicity would have helped these books a lot but that's just my opinion.
