When a close friend had her husband leave, I made the commitment to speak with her for 90 straight days, telling her exactly what I wished someone had told me the moment my own wife walked out. Every morning, I'd send her an email with a story from my own "hellacious" experience, giving her something inspirational to focus on and an action step to get her from heartbroken back to thriving - as fast as possible. My goal was simple - to get her just a little bit stronger each and every day, and it worked. This book is those exact letters, compiled for you, with zero punches pulled.

Great marriages don't just happen - they're made, intentionally, day by day. Yet most of us enter the covenant of marriage thinking that the role of spouse will be easy, natural, effortless. Rarely is this true. In fact, the number one cause of divorce isn't adultery or finances or disagreements. It's apathy - a lack of intentional emotional, physical, and mental investment in the relationship.

These are just some words used to describe the reality of dating after divorce. Like all major life changes, going through a divorce can be a very stressful time. No matter how long you were married, the act of parting from the person in life you may have been closest to can be jarring, challenging, and heartbreaking. The emotional exhaustion, the fear of failure, and that nagging feeling that maybe you're just meant to be alone can all make dating seem like a chore or something you don't want to do.

Story
Superheroes don't start from glorious beginnings. Their origins are almost always marked by traumatic events that leave them helpless and scared. Batman witnessed his parents' murder. Superman was sent away from his dying planet with no one to guide him as he grew up. Orphaned Catwoman was forced to steal food to survive on the streets of Gotham. What makes these superheroes super is their determination to not be defined by helplessness. They embrace their origins, their flaws, and their mistakes and strive every day to become the best versions of themselves.

Practical and empathetic
Divorce is one of the most stressful things you can have to deal with in life. You start to rethink everything you knew about love and about yourself. I love that this book does not diminish that. The tips are not only practical, but they are also presented very compassionately. Highly recommended.

Loaded with practical tips.
A great book for men and dads who want to move on after divorce and trying to date another woman.
I think the author is right, before starting to date another woman, men should try their best to forget about their ex and their past relationship.
My favourite part of the book is that, author beautifully explains how we should introduce another woman to the family and kids, to have a smoother transition btw kids and the woman.

Really enjoyed this one!
This book is the perfect third to round out the collection about divorce by Aguilar. While divorce can be tough, coming out on the other side of things and starting to date again can be a bright spot. Oftentimes after divorce, the world of dating seems ore daunting than ever, but this book helps make things much more approachable.
