Publisher's summary

If you're looking at this book for you, I'm sorry for what you're experiencing.

You now know heartbreak is an exquisitely painful concoction of:

  • Constant nausea
  • Obsessive thinking
  • Crushing depression
  • Stabbing pain in your heart
  • The now lovely potential of having your entire day decimated in an instant
  • Betrayal, groundlessness, and fear

Quite literally, heartbreak is a personally prescribed hell. Trust me, like you, I know it well, and wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.

No book can take this pain away for you, and anyone who says they can is flat out lying. Yet, while the pain may feel like an emotional death sentence, it can be quite the opposite.

I believe heartbreak, as god-awful and gut-wrenching as it is for you, can actually be the greatest opportunity ever you've ever been handed - a gift wrapped in razor wire and sh-t, but a gift none the less. Why?

That's what it was for me, and what I'm going to turn it into for you. The pain you feel right now is the catalyst for growth and development like you've never experienced, fueled by the exact awfulness you now believe is your new normal.

After using the two-and-half year odyssey of my own divorce to very publicly change every aspect of my life, something interesting began to happen - people just like you started reaching out to me and asking how you could do the same. People like you who wanted to not only survive their situations but also use them to do all manner of amazing things like:

  • Lose weight
  • Quit smoking
  • Get sober
  • Start businesses
  • Or rebuild their entire lives

When a close friend had her husband leave, I made the commitment to speak with her for 90 straight days, telling her exactly what I wished someone had told me the moment my own wife walked out.

Every morning, I'd send her an email with a story from my own "hellacious" experience, giving her something inspirational to focus on and an action step to get her from heartbroken back to thriving - as fast as possible.

Those letters were then forwarded to thousands of people in your exact situation, navigating the darkest chapter of their lives.

My goal was simple - to get her just a little bit stronger each and every day, and it worked. And worked. And worked.

This book is those exact letters, compiled for you, with zero punches pulled. The raw truth of my experience. The truth of what you're now facing with no bullshit, plus the best ways to survive, revive, and then thrive.

Here's to you. Getting past today and on to tomorrow.

You will rise, one morning at a time, making yourself one day stronger.

Great advice but a rough editing job

I think this audio book has a lot of great content, but the performance and editing needs a retouch. The author does not need to state quotes and unquotes as much as he does, it’s extremely redundant and not necessary for most things he uses it for. Also there are a lot of parts where there are repeated sentences, like they didn’t manage to edit out two sequential takes.

It changed everything

This is a great book for someone who is dealing with a breakup. It is ok for men to be vulnerable and that made all the difference for me. Though anyone could read it, I think it is a little more directed from a man’s perspective. Thank you, Traver!

Chicken soup for the broken heart in a man

Great advice and cheering up from a man that had his brush with the pain of a breakup. This book not only gives you advice but helps you cope and deal with the pain as it eventually subsided. Highly recommended.

Amazing direction and vulnerability

I hike there are many books on the subject of what to do after a divorce or breakup, Traver finds a way to relive his moments in the trenches with you and it feel like you have a partner working with you through the pain and emotions. He tells you what you need even if it’s hard to hear and even if you’re not ready. He reminds you that it’s ok to feel pain, anger, depression, grief and the many emotions that come with divorce.

I recommended this book to anyone who looks in the mirror during the divorce process or after it’s done when the dust is still settling and asks themselves, “what the f*** do I do now?”

My saving grace (along with God) after my break up of 30

This was truly the best resource I experienced during my gut wrenching experience of my husband’s betrayal. I’m forever thankful for Traver Boehm, and to God!! Traver’s testimony definitely was my stepping stone to overcoming & rising above the situation. Today I Rise One Day Stronger is embedded in my mind, heart & soul! (And on my arm with my awesome tat saying it!! Lol) Just love the fact that Traver has been able to have reach so many.. and will be inspiring so many more in the future.. as unfortunately, there will always be relationship betrayals, break ups, etc.. I lived and breathed his book for months playing it over & over & over. I know I see how the betrayal from my husband.. the pain.. by using the pain to get stronger with each thought, each breath.. each tear.. ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me! And can honestly say I found peace and happiness like never before.. can honestly truly say it and mean it wholeheartedly and how I see it as actually a beautiful transformation for me mentally.. spiritually.. emotionally.. and physically! Soooo, once again I thank you ,Traver, for your heartfelt testimony as I have grown into a better more improved version of me.. Today I Rise One Day Stronger! Only the best is yet to come!!! You’re a blessing Traver Boehm. You are amazingly inspiring! I highly recommend this book/audio.. etc..

Brutal

Well that was brutal. For me it was like having my husband coach me through the pain of this divorce so that was really weird and so many times I wanted to quit listening but I didn’t, I listened to every word and went through the roller coaster of emotions. It’s such a weird feeling to be in a state of relief, grief, and pain all at once. Fucking weird. Thank you
