Publisher's summary

Davey’s Rule #85: Daddy will always treat his boy like he's Daddy’s world… because that’s how it should be!

This 132,000-word bundle includes the second half of this best-selling series loosely centered around Davey - a guy on the search for a perfect Daddy…and the insane list of rules he makes along the way. Each book begins with Davey on a not-so-perfect date that ends after the perspective Daddy breaks three rules he didn’t know existed. Each failed date goes on to find his own perfect match and often with Davey’s help, whether they want it or not.

Rules to Obey

Daddy Marcus has been waiting for years to meet the right sweetie - someone into age play who will not only be a good partner, but who can equally enjoy playing with toys or sharing an adult meal on date night. He’s just about given up when he meets Jeff, a genius who needs downtime to get a break from his big brain. Luckily, Marcus has the solution for that problem.

Making Rules

This is a series prequel. Through six vignettes, we get the backstory of Davey’s best friend and widower boss, Sammy - and his beloved and gone-but-not-forgotten leather Daddy Raphael.

Rules to Ignore

This is Davey’s story. It took him a long time and an even longer list of rules to find his way, but if he pays attention, Davey might just find that true happiness lies in a different direction than he’d ever expected.

Rules for Loving

This final book in the series is a five-part, seven-story collection that shows each couple from the series as they live their happily-ever-afters and move onto the next chapters in their lives…and just like the guys themselves, the future is fabulous!

This is the second of a two-volume set of bundles containing this complete series about not-so-perfect Daddies, adorable “boys”, and one sassy brat with an insane list of rules. Grab your fan and tissues because this series comes with both a high heat advisory and all the squishy feels you’d want from Susan Hawke’s books.

Awesome Collection!

This is an awesome collection of incredible stories. Each couple is perfectly made for one another and the best part forme was definitely Rules For Loving and being able to catch up with the couples.
Rules To Obey-Jeff is young but has already been through so much, especially with his family. Marcus is exactly what Jeff needs in his life and I love how smoothly their relationship progresses throughout the story, they truly complement one another.
Making Rules-This is a prequel where you get the story of Sammy and Raphael. It’s a beautiful and touching story that even made me tear up.
Rules To Ignore-Ahhhhhhh! Finally, Davey's book! Love this story, it's the perfect ending to a wonderful series. Watching Davey and Sammy grow from best friends to lovers is beautiful. They each discover so much about themselves, especially Davey. They really turn out to be just perfect for one another. This story really should not be missed!
The narrator is truly spectacular throughout the entire series. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Great set of books but they’re out of order

These books must be read in order, so it was disconcerting to realise that the book I had just listened to, marked as book 6, was in fact book 7 and kind of a grand finale for the whole series, and thus contained major spoilers.

So to summarise: the book labelled as book 5, “Making Rules”, is actually book 6, The book labelled book 6, “Rules to Ignore”, is actually book 7. The book labelled as book 7, “Rules to Obey”, is actually book 5.

Otherwise, it’s a wonderful and affirming series, beautifully and sensitively read. As long as you know what order to listen to the books in it’s a fabulous thing to own, one which I plan to listen to many times..

Four More Books

RULES TO OBEY
I adored Jeff and watching all the changes as he finds his place next to Marcus. Sammy and Davey play a big role in his life and help him navigate as he meets each new challenge, cheering him along the way. Marcus impressed me as he set aside his own desires to meet all of Jeff's needs. He doesn't want to take over Jeff's life but support him in everything. There are bad guys to deal with, hard things to face, and justice meted out. I loved Sammy's gift and beautiful words on their special day.

MAKING RULES
Holy guacamole! I needed a box of tissues to get through this one. Rafe and Sammy have always been this couple loving and supporting everyone within their circle of friends, welcoming all to join them. Each vignette gives us a glimpse from the start to the end of their time together; loving one another deeply and completely.

RULES TO IGNORE
After four books of watching Davey search for his perfect daddy, making his list grow with each encounter, we get to see Davey discover his perfect match. Being each other's support, confidant, and cheerleader for years has blinded Davey and his BFF Sammy to how much deeper their feelings are. Davey's connection to the kids impressed me; he loves them so deeply that he's a natural dad to them. He loved Rafe almost as much as Sammy did and is very mindful of Sammy's feelings as they navigate their new life together. I loved that, while Sammy holds Rafe's love in his heart, he honors Rafe's final words and makes room to love Davey.

RULES FOR LOVING
Each of these vignettes was a delightful addition to the series. We get to see each of the couples living their HEAs. Families have grown and been added to adding another layer of happiness. Rhyming toddlers, peeks into the past, and gender reveals all add up to the perfect ending for the series.

Highly recommended author and series

Perfect conclusion to a wonderful series

This has books 5-7

Micheal Dean just really captures the perfect tone for this series. NGL, I love his Davey voice best.
In this volume, Davey finally gets his HEA.

Book 5: Rules to Obey

Jeff has been going through the motion of life and not really living. An auction brings him into Marcus’s life. Marcus has noticed Jeff for awhile and wants him as a permanent part of his life. Davey sneaks into the story as well.

This story made me laugh and also tear up a bit. Jeff has a very sad backstory but Marcus truly helps him through it all! It was SO amazing the love and care they showed each other.

I loved this narration and if you are a fan of this series you will too!

Book 6: Making Rules

Getting Raphael and Sammy’s backstory was amazing! How they met! Wow. That was something. Their love story was beautiful. I know how it was to end but now I’ll better understand the next book.

Book 7: Rules to Ignore

What a satisfying conclusion to a wonderful series!

As this series unfolded, I also thought Davey was more Daddy than Boy. He’s a natural caretaker and problem solver. His journey to discovering that for himself takes awhile... but Sammy was worth the wait.
Loved this audio! My favorite of the series!

Really Good

The last four books in the bundle, and as great is the first. Ms. Hawke writes the goods and Michael Dean brings it to your ears.

Solid 4.75

The books felt out of order and it threw me for a minute, but that was all me. I loved the series at the time several books were being released and missed the last two books back then. When I rediscovered the two sessions recorded in audio I had to get the entire series--and listened to it practically nonstop.

There's almost nothing not to like about these D/b stories, perhaps they're even realistic in a nice way. The gamut of tougher subjects is told in a way that doesn't keep you down for long and there's a lot of humor along the way. Most of the boys are sweet and not overly needy, Daddies range in personality better than most series. All solid stuff.
