A really good book

Dawn was a sneaky sister at the end. I thought for sure Dawn would get found out or confess, but it's more realistic that she doesn't.
I only gave it 3 stars because I was annoyed by Malory's subplot and the mask nonsense. I know it's not fair to judge a story written in the late 1980s/early 1990s, but in a post Covid world I was rolling my eyes. Why should Stacey, Kristy and Jessi (the healthy people) wear a mask when it's Malory and her siblings who are sick? The box even says it doesn't prevent viruses from spreading.
