To know Christ and to make him known...
From his youth as a liar, gambler, and pool shark to manhood as an indefatigable witness for his Lord Jesus Christ, Dawson Trotman revolutionized the practice of evangelism and founded one of the most widespread and respected Christian organizations in the world today.
What moved and motivated this extraordinary man of God?
In Daws, you'll experience the convictions and passions that guided Trotman's life: his deep love of God's Word, his lifelong dedication to prayer, and his determination to live out the Great Commission. This moving historical account, drawn from the memories of those whose lives he touched and from the author's firsthand knowledge, will both encourage you in your faith and inspire you to action.

He was a spiritual giant whose personal convictions paired with strong disciplines helped him to develop an incredible walk with God that was very deep and full of spiritual fruit. He became a wise father in the faith at a young age.
His view on “follow-up,” discipleship, Bible verse memorization, and discipline revolutionized ministry and evangelism in the 20th century for the better. His team personally helped to design a follow-up system for BILLY GRAHAM crusade attendees who made decisions for Christ. So that they would not be left to starve spiritually.
He sacrificially gave his life to save another in a tragic accident. Dying just as he lived. For others.
The Navigators, the ministry he founded, is running to this day and bringing ministry tools to Military Servicemen around the world and so much more.
I’m personally seeing fruit in my life because of Dawson’s ministry and I’m thankful for it. This is a great book that’s very insightful to not only the pretty sides of his life but even the ugly.
Much to learn from a giant in the faith. Such a worthy the read!
Personally influenced Billy Graham, Wycliffe, Young Life, and Campus Crusade!

I was started in Christian living by learning by heart verses that were essential to growth.
It was illuminating to see the dynamic life of the guy who started all.
To see how the B rations appeared (that nourished my new life in Christ) at 40 years after the "inventor" died.
His life and legacy were God ordained.
Grateful for a man like him.
I was reminded of the importance of investing deeper in few that will reproduce rather than spreading thin in ministry.
Good pace for the narrator.
A full book.

There are a few sections where the voice of the reader clearly changes but it is far more easy to listen to than some other reads whose readers are very soft.
