About this listen

Two startling facts exist in the simple plains state of South Dakota. Number one - if you die, there will be no autopsy - unless the coroner is absolutely certain there were suspicious circumstances. Number two - most coroners are untrained morticians looking to make a little extra money. In the dying town of Dansing, South Dakota, salvation comes in the form of a rich retired basketball player who promises to build a gaming casino and hunters paradise. The only person suspicious of his motives is a down-and-out reporter from the local radio station, and the only evidence he has is a garbled message recorded by accident by a scared and desperate heiress.

Chilling results

Strange things happen when people talk about stuff they shouldn’t in a small town. Everyone knows what’s happening and often share too much about subjects they know little about. Grain elevators often keep their secrets, buried under moldy grain. when winter storms approach shelter should be carefully sought out as to not end up in a building with no escape.

interesting characters

the blurb by the author at the end made me like him. most of the time when the author reads the book it sucks, but this gentleman did a fine job and I found and interest in his other books I think I will order one now.

Dead Air

It was a well written story, being from South Dakota made it even better for me. A good story plus no ending setting it up for another book I hope soon

Great Read for Young Adult/Crime Thriller Audience

I liked the wide variety of characters in the book, telling different view points. I really enjoyed the plot twists and the back stories of characters that allow the reader to relate to and feel for the characters themselves. The author did a phenomenal job telling the story, making each character unique and giving life to their personalities, which is a rare thing to find when listening to audio books. The only only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars for the story itself is that the beginning felt like it took a few chapters to pick up. I can’t wait to hear the next installment!
