About this listen

Oil prices are surging to record highs. A new dictator is rising in Iraq. China is threatening Taiwan. North Korean forces are ready to strike south. Israel is feverishly trying to complete the Third Temple....

And in the midst of a world ready to explode, American president James MacPherson's second term is ending. The battle to succeed him is heating up into the most fiercely contested presidential election in American history. Who will lead a bitterly divided country over the next four years? And just what role - if any - does the U.S. play in history's last days?

As the presidential campaign narrows into a dead heat, the Secret Service learns of a catastrophic terrorist plot to assassinate one of the candidates - but which one? Who do they want dead? And can U.S. forces stop the terrorists before millions lose their lives?

Edge of your seat great book

Fantastic book, jumps you right into the book from the beginning and holds you right to the end. It was also easy to follow though it is book 5 in the series and I read it first. Highly recommended!!

Loved it!! Cheered, cried and hit "rewind" many times!

I literally cheered and praised God many times while listening to this book series. Especially the two "big events" at the End of Dead Heat, "and then he saw Jesus" I cried and hit replay several times just imagining this. I then cheered in my car when the president was suddenly gone. Hit replay on this one too. My next audio book is the Holy Bible.

Great Story, Great audio book

This is the first book of Joel Rosenberg's that I have listened to, and I chose this book after hearing numerous interviews with him. What an inspiring, action packed novel, with great scriptural prophecy and political thrills. I loved this and have been recommending it to everyone I know.

Just completed the entire 5 book series

Interesting story line developement. Obviously the author is a Christian believer and the way the story evolves during the series one could suspect he became a born again follower during the writing of this series or it was his intent to shift the story to involve Christian/Jewish prophecies from the beginning . Either way a very good listen. A bit too much Stars and Stripes God Bless America flag waving? As a non American it got to be a bit much - evil can come in many forms - the one area the author does get right is that true followers of Jesus would not kill/maim or defile others for personal gain or promote death and destruction of others for personal gain. Although, he clearly is biased in his America can do no evil and paints the Middle East, Russia and other communist countries with a very old and tired rhetorical brush. That being said, I think I'll start doing some of my own theological research. Thank you.
One last thing - would have preferred to have kept the same narrator for the entire series.

disappointed

The ending is very confusing and does not jive with the story as a whole.

Bible Prophecy Accuracy

The characters and the boldness of John, Erin and Mordecai in sharing the love of Jesus Christ to the lost. As a matter of fact that truth is carried through the whole series.

Great Book..

Loved this book. Will now go back and read the first book in the series. Given the current political climate, it was a somewhat scary reading.

Amazing Storytelling

Biblical prophecy in a modern setting. A fitting ending to the story of Jon and Erin Bennett and their friends.
As a Christian I believe all the prophecies warned of in God’s Word. No one can know the time of the Messiah’s return, but a great many of the prophecies have already come true.
This final book in The Last Jihad series was published in 2007 and I believe there is more reason today to realize just how close “The END TIMES” are than when the book was published.
As I write this review, it’s August 17, 2021. If anyone follows current events it’s becoming more evident that the United States is losing her status as the only super power. There’s internal divisions and hatred as well as external perceptions of weakness.
Political leaders no longer have unwavering support for Israel-basically turning America’s back on God’s chosen people.
Can “The Rapture” be far behind?
