About this listen

The invasion has begun - and a group of teens are caught in the crossfire. I volunteered to be a spy, not an assassin. I know this is war…but I just want to do what's right. If you ask me, none of us should be here - but no one gave me a choice. And I won't blindly follow orders. I am essential to the plan. And I will be a hero for my country. If I were normal, I wouldn't be old enough to join the army. But I'm not normal. I'm a weapon. We're a perfect match - on and off the battlefield. I hope that means we'll both survive.

this was truly a good book and great part two to the story. I hope book 3 is as good.

Great part 2 can't wait for book 3.

The premise of the story is interesting. Reminds me of a precursor to X men. I thought the ending was weak
Love Ray Porter.

Action packed

Would you consider the audio edition of Dead Zone to be better than the print version?

Are you kidding? The book is awesome, but... Ray Porter, folks. RAY-FREAKING-PORTER!

He's the best narrator in the business.

Which scene was your favorite?

-No spoilers-

The climax was easily the best part of the book. Tension suitably building since chapter one ignites leaving no one unscarred.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Robison has a masterful way of pulling the reader into the story and not letting go. I've never been able to find a satisfying stopping point when reading or listening to his works. Throw in Ray Porter's masterful narration and the book is finished hours before I'm satisfied.

Any additional comments?

Dead Zone is an exciting continuation to Black Out. The characters get more depth as war drags their world in to chaos--no matter how much they want to avoid it.

The Excitement Deepens
