When you want to live your life and free yourself from a narcissist, it can be hard to know what to do. The problem is that your sense of self has been eroded because you’ve not had the chance to think for yourself and be who you are for as long as you can remember. When life sends you down this type of spiral, it can feel daunting when you so much as contemplate leaving and living life on your own terms. But the truth is that this is natural, everyone in your position feels this way, and it’s certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

When you look around you, you see all these people happily in love and singing poems about the wonders of love. And then you are confused why you are not able to feel anything on those lines. All you feel is a pit in your stomach, a sense of fear and of always being on edge, but all you did was love, right? You did or are doing everything right, yet this “love” does not seem to be magical or does not seem to be healing you; rather, it appears to be destroying you by driving you crazy, and you notice that you have changed not for good.

Publisher's summary
If you've always wanted simple and proven methods on dealing with a narcissist or if you wanted to understand the narcissist in your life, then keep reading....
Have you ever felt as if someone you love does nothing but put you down?
Perhaps you are always drained after interacting with him or her, despite the fact that nothing you did was particularly strenuous.
After every interaction, you may begin to worry about your own self-worth, or worry that you are not good enough for the other person.
Despite your best efforts, you always feel like you are not enough, and that you will never live up to expectations.
Do you find yourself doing things or putting up with things you never would have thought were okay prior to meeting or interacting with a particular person?
Can that person do no wrong, despite you being sure that something was his or her fault, but you feel like you cannot speak up because you either fear the response, or you worry no one will believe you?
If any of this sounds familiar, you may have a narcissist in your life. These people are individuals with personality disorders that prevent them from being able to see the world for what it really is. For some reason, these people perceive and project themselves as blameless or perfect, though they are anything but.
This might sound intimidating or concerning, but do not worry: Dealing with a Narcissist: Understanding and Engaging the Narcissist in Your Life is here for you.
This book will provide you with the information you need to understand and interact with the narcissist in your life in ways that are as painless as possible for all people involved. It seeks to create a roadmap for you with easy-to-understand, clear explanations and no-nonsense advice on how to interact with narcissists in ways that are the least likely to lead to an explosion of narcissistic rage, without giving up who you are or putting yourself in harm’s way.

This book is not a story, it is a teaching tool - a very real honest study of narcissists and how they affect everyone in their lives. I highly recommend listening to this book if you are looking for answers or a way to address the behavior of a narcissist in your life.

Dealing with a Narcissist
This book doesn't tackle everything about narcissism. However, at least guide me through understanding what narcissistic personality disorder is and teach you how to cope and heal from the abuse narcissists lash out. After listening to this book, I might be ready to begin my journey toward healthy boundaries and engaging the narcissist in my life.

Great Book but wasn’t applicable to my situation
I found this book helpful but it seemed focus on being in a romantic relationship with a narcissist and I was looking for a book that spoke to support for a professional relationship with a narcissistic person.
I found the part where she describes why a narcissist person acts the way they do, I was mildly pissed since I have suffered from such behavior but ended up empathetic at the end of that section, overall good book if you’re looking for something marriage/romantic relationship focused but I’ll look at another material if you’re interested in professional relationship insights.
