Publisher's summary

Free yourself from limiting behaviors and connect with the truth of love....

Are you sick and tired of opening up your heart only for everything to come crashing down again, exactly as it always has in the past?

Do you feel like most of your relationships drain your energy and leave you feeling depleted and exhausted?

Is your partner always full of energy and life, and although this fills you with joy, you can’t help but still feel some kind of emptiness inside?

Sadly, the behavior patterns we’ve learned and brought into our relationships aren’t always healthy, but we often have no way of knowing this.

Your parents may have been in a toxic relationship, or perhaps you’ve sought advice from your friends or other family members and are bringing that energy with you into your pursuits.

Either way, if any of the above sounds familiar, chances are quite high that you’ve fallen into an emotionally codependent relationship, and this is why everything keeps leading you astray.

As a naturally caring and empathetic person, it can be hard to understand where your boundaries need to be set in order to maintain your own wellbeing. Doing so doesn’t mean you have to cut other people out of your life, but it does mean that a more heightened focus may be necessary.

You can free yourself of all this worrisome burden and ensure that your next relationship is one of mutual support and admiration.

In fact, with the right tools, techniques, and emotional awareness, you can ensure that you never end up in one of these situations again.

In Codependency (The Need to Feel Needed), you’ll discover:

  • The top six signs of codependency, and how to know if they’re happening to you
  • Well-rounded insight into understanding the “victim mentality” and how you can free yourself from its grip
  • How you can flip the script and begin to take positive action toward your self-love
  • Why forgiveness will set you free, and how you can learn to do this with anyone, no matter what has happened in the past
  • A play-by-play guide to building self-awareness and establishing healthy boundaries
  • How to know your personality style and why this will help you understand your partner better
  • How mindfulness can help you become less judgmental, as well as how to use this to enhance all of your interactions with others
  • And so much more

Every relationship you enter doesn’t have to be like the rest. Just because the past has always been the same, this doesn’t mean you can’t change the future.

Freedom from your codependent tendencies is possible, and no, it’s not going to require years of effort and a ridiculous amount of money spent on therapists or personal growth courses.

With the right awareness and a bit of focus, your next relationship could very well become the best relationship of your life.

All the help you'll need to deal with codependency

I've been hearing a lot about codependent relationships, and there are lots of books on the topic. This one, however, really seems to cover all aspects of it. From identifying the signs to understanding the basics of love and attachment this book will help you understand codependency in a simplified way.
I also found the chapters that cover mindfulness and communication really helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever been in a codependent relationship, or anyone who could benefit from understanding them.

After listening to a lot of books, then I came across this book and was a big awakening, empowering slap to the face because it was finally clear to me what has been keeping me from becoming the best version of myself. The author of this book did a great job by taking time to explain in a simple educational way what codependence is and why it happens but also what to do to overcome it entirely. This book has changed me already and my business career. The book is so motivating and inspiring.Best of the best.

Practical and Healing!

Ever since I was young, I suffered from separation anxiety, whether from my parents or immediate caregivers. As an adult, this tendency transferred to romantic partners and friendships, and I always recognized it as something that was unhealthy for me. I would receive comments, and recently, with my downtime during COVID figured I would do what I can to pull myself out of this issue.

I found Codependency (The Need to Feel Needed) in the audible store, and thought I would see if it could help me. I couldn't be happier that I did! This book helps you resolve feelings of codependency by helping you address the source of the problem, and helping you heal those difficult points of pain.

The narrator is engaging and reassuring, and the content progresses systematically and understandably. If you are suffering from issues of codependency, would definitely suggest giving this one a listen.

Wow, An Internal Awakening and Transformation

WOW, I had no idea I was a codependent person! This was the missing piece to my self-empowering, self-development puzzle. I study all the best self-development/self-help gurus out there but would continuously wake up every day with something missing still. I couldn't pinpoint what it was! Then I came across the book and was a big awakening, empowering slap to the face because it was finally clear to me what has been keeping me from becoming the best version of myself. This book not only explains in a simple educational way what codependence is and why it happens but also what to do to eliminate it completely. This book has already changed my relationships, friendships, and my business career. I thank the author for this book and know that if it's not a best seller already, it will be because it helps so many people, especially these days.

Great listen on breaking the cycle of codependency

This one starts by defining what codependency is — the need to feel needed by others — then moves to explain various ways by which we can overcome such a force. It’s also tactful in its explanation that some semblance of feeling needed by others is an important part of every relationship. However, when that need tips out of balance, it can often take full control over our lives.

After listening to this audiobook, I think you’ll be equipped with some great tools for overcoming this often cyclical, destructive force and will be able to take back your life from it. It also covers some of the forces the lie underneath codependency — the fear of abandonment and the fear of not being loved. It’s helpful to see how all of those forces connect with one another. I think you’ll find it all helpful as well if you pick this one up.
