Publisher's summary

Chances can be missed, but destiny will always intervene....

What begins as an anonymous "Dear Soldier" letter turns to burgeoning love. Vivian Castello is a government contractor working in Washington, D.C., and Matthew Jensen is an Army Ranger fighting the war in Afghanistan.

Through emails, letters, and care packages, Vivian's and Matthew's secrets begin to unfold. Letter by letter, their barriers are torn down. But will their journey be one of hope or despair?

When Matthew returns and the physical space no longer exists, the emotional distance creates the biggest bridge they have to cross if they are ever going to have their happy ever after.

Fabulous letter exchange

This book reminds me of Jane Austen era letter writing books but modern and funny! The suspense was real throughout and I loved it!!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know anyone who would enjoy the narrated version of this book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I didn't get to learn anything about the character because I couldn't finish the book The narrator read right through with know stops at all she read it as if she couldn't wait to finish It is as if the narrator said i'll ignore any commas periods question marks so that I can get to the end. See how annoying it is to read this with no punctuation at all.

Would you be willing to try another one of Kate Kolb’s performances?

No.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Dear Soldier Boy?

Couldn't get past the awful narration to pick out any scenes I liked.

A sweet romance...

At first I didn't care too much for this book. Then as I started getting into this book, I decided it was pretty good. This story is an unusual romance. Which starts out as a pen pal and blossoms from there. It is funny and sweet and sometimes, totally silly - yet was a really fun book!

The author, Maxwell Tibor did an awesome job writing this. The approach is refreshing and new to me and captured my interest. I ended up listening to the entire book straight thru! The narrator, Kate Kolb did a good job delivering this story to us. I liked the voices she used and even liked the humor she added. Well done.
