About this listen

My name is Friday St. Salvatore and I’m what’s known as a living vampire.

But just means I haven’t died yet. Once that happens...I become the real deal.

Except, I’m not really sure if being undead is what I want.

I like being human. Or well, humanish.

Unfortunately for me, I was just kidnapped by hunters who are hell bent on playing their sick death games.

Me and all the other supernaturals they gathered are just the newest trophy’s they plan to hunt - and kill - for sport.

The only way out of here?

To escape.

But first, I have to get past the sexy as sin hunter that’s been eyeing me.

Too bad he’s the one supposed to kill me twice.

Interesting and compelling!

I was immediately pulled into this story, loving the whole living vampire plot. The only thing I didn’t like was how quickly the romance unfurled. But the speed of that was easy to ignore as I was compelled forward with the storyline. I wanted to know how our heroes were going to get out of the mess they found themselves in. I’m ready to start the next book!

Friday St. Salvatore is a strong character and does not let anyone push her around. She does not let her family get to her when she defying them. When she is kidnapped by psychotic group of hunters she does all she can do to survive. This good was a great read and can't wait to read next book

Excellent New Series!

This book exceeded my expectations! It is fast paced and action-packed. It took a bit for the story to suck me in but once it did I was gone. The author created an interesting world where supernaturals have normal lives and most try to live in harmony without harming humans. On the other hand, Hunters seem to have gone off the rails and are capturing and pretty much torturing any type of supernatural. Regardless of if the supernatural is peaceful/ innocent, they are placed in Death games for the pleasure of Hunters to be killed for sport.

Narration was very good and brought the story to life.

The story kept me in the edge of my seat. Our heroine gets captured and finds out first hand how ruthless hunters have become. Fortunately, there is one hunter that seems to hesitate.

I love the idea of a vampire and a Hunter falling for each other in the midst of a crazy Death games trials. It is a rollercoaster ride to try to stay alive and trust your enemy.

The story wraps up nicely but a bombshell is thrown at them. I’m looking forward to reading the next book to find out what will happen next.

Death Games

Wow this book was crazy! It is like Adams Family mixed with The Hunger Games. I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this book.

Nice Alternative to Hunger Games

If you love paranormal/fantasy/super naturals, and enjoyed The Hunger Games I think this will be a pretty solid win for you! You have Vampires (mostly) and a group of Hunter’s that are cultish and intent on ridding the world of super natural creatures completely, and cruelly.

To become a Hunter, they simply have to make a kill in the Death Games, a kind of trial by fire to test a persons grit against various supernaturals. But one Hunter, the one in line to take over the clan, isn’t actually fully on board with the wholesale slaughter of living beings, who just might not be as monstrous as they’ve been taught.

That’s good news for Friday, our Vampire heroine, who gets captured by the group. Thankfully, this Hunter who isn’t too sure of things is also SUPER hot, and easily tempted... or maybe it’s Friday who is easily tempted? Maybe it’s both, because they go head over heels for each other while trying to survive and escape the arena.

The Romance in this is slightly more than PG13, but not bad by any means. It’s all angsty teen hormones overriding clear thinking. *Sigh* those were the days.

The narration is pretty good, worth your audible credit. And it’s a pretty short listen.

Spoilers

I really enjoyed the storyline. Hunters versus vampires and other supernatural creatures. Hunters capture the supernatural and then hunt them for sport. Zander, a Hunter is supposed to hunt and kill Friday, a vampire in order to prove himself to his clan. Zander realizes Friday isn’t a bloodthirsty threat and helps her escape. Looking forward to the next book!

A Wild Ride

This book engulfed me from the first chapter . The entire time that I was listening to this it was as though I was right there with Friday . My heart was racing nearly the whole time . If I were Friday I would make the transition as soon as possible . Zander isn't a Alpha male but he may be the strongest character I have encountered in a very long time . I can tell both Zander and Friday have a tough road ahead and I can't wait to find out where it leads .

There are similarities to the Hunger Games but this story has a life of its own Graves did a great job telling it .
