Destroy Your Student Loan Debt by Anthony Oneal is easy to listen to in every chapter read. Oneal doesn't waste the reader's/listener's time. He gets straight to the point! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and its presentation. Well done.

I enjoyed this listen. I graduated from university a few years ago with several loans in my name, and I have been feeling the stress about finding the money needed to pay off such large amounts. This book is great because it gave me some insight of the ways student loans work and how repayment is stacked against me. However, this book is very heavy on the Baby Steps program by Dave Ramsey and not as much about student loans. That being said, one of the hidden points in this book is that using the Baby Step program and the Debt snowball is the key to being able to make HIGHER payments on student loans and therefore pay them off much quicker. (There’s a math example given where at some point in the debt snowball journey someone is able to pay ~$1000/mo on student loans.) I’m glad that I happened to catch that while listening, otherwise I would have felt very let down by the title of the book versus the content. I do think that the author could have driven that point home a lot more, but either way I really enjoyed this listen and plan to use the tips and motivation on my journey to paying off my student loans quickly and living a debt free life. I recommend this book to others as well.

Not as student loan centric, but still great

Let me start with, I love AO! When he mentioned this book on his podcast, I knew it was a must. Sadly, I was hoping for more info on what to do if you have already made some of these major mistakes. My student loans (from 2002-2009) have hit $84k, is in default, have been already consolidated, and I messed up my “one-time only” chance to use an Income-based Repayment Plan. BUT, for those just graduating college (or even HS Parents) this is a great book to guide you through the beginnings of Student Loans.

Good, wanted more

As with all Dave Ramsey personalities, Anthony O'Neal is about common sense and grandma's logic. Follow these principles has changed my families life.

Life changing

Enjoyed it, but if you've already read Dave Ramseys books, then you don't need to read this one. it reiterates in a condensed form what Dave talks about.
