About this listen

I’d do anything for her.

When she was sixteen, I stole her innocence.

When she was seventeen, I convinced my cousin to break up with her so I could dry her tears and promise I’d never leave her.

When she was eighteen, a terrible accident scarred my face. I couldn’t sentence her to a life with a hideous monster, so when she left town to chase her dreams, I watched her go.

For three years, I lived as the shell of a man. I hid away from the world, consumed by regret that the life I deserved had slipped through my fingers. Love turned bitter in my veins.

Then I saw her on TV, living her dream. Once more, I had a purpose.

I tracked her down. I found out where she lives. And now I’m going to get her.

This time, I won’t let her go.

Not even when she begs.

Troy and Devon are once again amazing as Preston and Dolly. Their voices bring this story even more to life for me. I can’t wait to hear more audio books from these two narrators!

My oh my oh my. Dear Preston. I know he’s the “bad guy” morally grey character but I can’t help but just want to hug him. He’s been through so much and yes he’s done some bad things too but he just wants the woman he madly loves to love him back. I found Dolly a bit foolish, and childish in this story. But I think that might be what Selena was going for since Dolly had basically lost her way. There were times though I just kept thinking grow up and open your eyes. Stop being so petty and snide. I really enjoyed the story though and I LOVED the epilogue. Narration was great! Troy blows me away every time and he could’ve narrated the whole book. Devon did a great job and I thought her whispery tone to fit the naïveté of Dolly. I’m super excited for Colts story to come out.

And the madness continues

Preston is my favorite psycho stalker. Mix him with the sweet Dolly and it’s a match made in dark romance heaven. I devoured this story and it’s probably my top fav in the series (until I read the next one since Selena always gets me). Trying not to give spoilers, but that roof scene… omg… heart dropping, tears, and the chef’s kiss.

The narrators did a fantastic job. Dolly sounded just as I always heard her in my head and Preston had the deep voice vibrating in not just my ears.

Preston and Dolly ❤️

Out of all the books in this series, Dolly is my absolute least favorite character. Preston went through so much and then to love someone as selfish and childish as her was the was so unbelievably unfair. Oh well, in to the next book

Ugh Dolly
