Now thats what I call a cliffhanger ending!

I just finished this book and wow. What an ending! I can't until the next one!

The book has the same familiar light and fluffy feeling of the other books.

The narrator is the same and does her always fantastic job.

Overall, if you are a fan of the Hannah Swensen books this is a must! The ending might change everything in the future for Hannah.

Wowser ending!

The truth to Norman's odd behavior comes out! If you've been listening to this whole series like I have, make sure to listen clear through. I almost went to the next book with 5 minutes left thinking they were recipes from the book launch party (I always go back and look them up later...Lol!) and you'll miss a whopper if you do!

Too much detail!

When Listening to this audio book, I get lost in the/ “he said, she said, they said”…. Just too much detail!

I do enjoy getting several recipes offered at the end of chapters.

Cute

Haven’t tried the recipes, but the book was ok. Cute little story. Forgettable, but a decent listen.

Devil’s Food Cake Murder : review

Joanne Fluke write a good story. Twists, turns & recipes. This one has quite an ending!

Suzanne Toren is a good narrator. Diction, inflection, and good timbre and tone.

Hannah Needs to Pick a Man Already!

This plot is dragging this love story to death. Hannah is irritating. Does she think she's the only one that can date 2 people at once?! Mike and Norman should move on already. She's too finicky and indecisive. Let's move this story on please?!

Love the story…,not so much the narrator

I love these stories. I’ve actually read the series twice already but decided to listen to them this round.
Unfortunately the narrator seems to get worse with each story. Mispronouncing words and taking loud breaths in awkward places. I’ve been ignoring it but this story seemed particularly bad with the narrator.

Lengthy Recipes Distracting

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I love audible books especially due to major eye problems the last few years. This book had a good story but listending to recipes was too much and I quit about a third of the way thru. I did buy the Kindle edition and did fine with that.. I can go back and copy what recipes I want. I am a recipe collector so it is not that I don't like to bake.

What was most disappointing about Joanne Fluke’s story?

The story was fine but lost interest during narration of the recipes. The ending was odd - it did leave some loose ends that could have been tied up.

What about Suzanne Toren’s performance did you like?

Ms Toren was fun to listen to and she could make all the characters voices unique in reading.

Could you see Devil’s Food Cake Murder being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No opinion about an actor but would watch the show.

Any additional comments?

I was going to order other audio books by Joanne Fluke but think I will see if I can get to read easier and go the book/Kindle route. I will hopefull be able to return this book.
