About this listen

In a remote country house, a writers' group turns into a workshop for a killer, from the New York Times bestselling author.

When Eve Carrington is chosen to participate in an exclusive writers' workshop, she knows it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For one month, she will live, write, and share her work with nine other aspiring authors. The top three will get a chance to be published. But when the building they're staying in isn't ready and Eve sees the old mansion they'll be moved into, she starts having second thoughts.

Not only is the mansion isolated but the deadlines are tight, the pressure intense, and the competition incredibly fierce. Her biggest rival, Angela, is writing a murder mystery based on the workshop and its participants. It's a brilliant idea. Until life begins to imitate art-and death begins to knock out the competition . . .

Loved it! Kept one wondering you was the killer. Good read. Would read another book.

Excellent story!

It was well written but for an author of Joanne Fluke's calibre, I did not expect the main character who was behind all the murders to have such a remarkable likeness to the character from Sidney Sheldon's "Tell me your dreams". The concluding chapter was also so similar that it took away the edge this book could have had!
I loved the narrator though. She did the roles so well.

I loved this book. Fluke is a fantastic author. I can't wait for another one like this one.

Exciting and superbly written

Poorly written and plotted. Less than interesting. Only finished because it was an audio book and I garden while I listen. Don’t waste your money and time!!!
