About this listen

Author Emily Carmichael has won three Reviewer's Choice Awards from Romantic Times for her highly charming romantic comedies. In the follow-up to her immensely popular Finding Mr. Right, Carmichael reintroduces Lydia, an angel stuck on earth in the body of a Welsh Corgi named Piggy. When Lydia finally found the perfect match for her best friend Amy, she was certain that heaven would be just around the corner. She was wrong. Blackmailed into another matchmaking, Lydia is still stuck on earth in the body of the same cute little dog. But don't underestimate her because of her small size--she's got more schemes for stalling weddings and playing Cupid than dogs have fleas. Diamond in the Ruff is as warm and enjoyable as a cozy lap. Featuring a hilarious reading by inimitable narrator Barbara Rosenblat, this book will have listeners barking with laughter.©2001 Emily Krokosz (P)2002 Recorded Books, LLC Contemporary Contemporary Romance Fantasy Fiction Historical Fiction Romance Romantic Comedy Comedy Dogs Funny Witty

Diamond in the Ruff

Delightful story made even more so by the amazing Barbara Rosenblat. Anyone wishing to chuckle throughout the entire narration should definitely listen to this book.
Great escapist fare.

Fun lighthearted, mystery romance, with a Corgi helping solve the case.

Love the Corgi’s snarky personality. It being reincarnated from a woman who was quite self centered to a Corgi trying to make amends by helping others, saving lives, and helping to solve crime. Witty, lighthearted, book for a fun listen. Great narration.

Fun book

If you liked the first book in this series, you'll probably like this one too. Very much like the first one. Fun premise for a light listen. Good narration.

WANT MORE IN THIS SERIES

This is a really cute story line. But you have to understand that the Corgi thinks like the woman she was, then it all makes sense. No need for canned laughter with this one.

Piggy (main character)Barely Makes an Entrance into Story

What happened???? This was supposed to be a cute sequel to the first “Finding Mr. Right” but the main character(s)barely made an appearance. This was one of the dumbest, really dumbest, romances that l have endured. I listened to the sorry end with hope that the story it could improve. Sadly, it could not. I found nothing engaging about this story. Not even one of my favorite narrators, Barbara Rosenblat, could help this one. Too bad, there was potential after the first.
