Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents a novel of love, friendship, and family in Book One in the Bride Quartet.

Wedding photographer Mackensie "Mac" Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered moments before an important wedding rehearsal when she bumps into the bride-to-be's brother...an encounter that has them both seeing stars.

A stable, safe English teacher, Carter Maguire is definitely not Mac's type. But a casual fling might be just what she needs to take her mind off bridezillas. Of course, casual flings can turn into something more when you least expect it. And Mac will have to turn to her three best friends—and business partners—to see her way to her own happy ending.

A Great Start to a 4 part series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes and I have! I enjoyed the entire quartet. It was fun to hear it in audio production.

Which character – as performed by Emily Durante – was your favorite?

Loved Carter! Perfect blend of shy and romantic!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughed several times. Great dialog for Carter.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommend the entire series (reading). I am currently listening to the series.

I won't be buying the rest of the series

I don't have a problem with the narrator. She isn't as good as some I've listened to, but she isn't so bad that I have to shut it off (and I have a couple of books like that in my personal library). While I'm interested enough to keep listening to find out more about the characters, I don't like the cute little code they use. MOB. CBBM. MOG. MOH. Give me a break! If I walked into a room to find people talking like that, I would turn around and walk back out. Teenage kids might talk like that, but adults don't.
If I have to stop listening so I can write the letters down to try to figure out what they might stand for, you are detracting from the story, not enhancing it or the characters.

Super Cute!

Would you listen to Vision in White again? Why?

I would, this is actually my first time listening to the series but I have read it before. It certainly worth your time if you like happy stories with great friendships.

What other book might you compare Vision in White to and why?

Well I would naturally compare the book to the others in the series, but there is another Roberts Series called the Irish Trilogy that meshes well with this one. Similar themes through strong friendships and old friends becoming lovers.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

She was certainly not my favourite narrator. There was something about her voice that just took away from the story I remember and enjoyed reading. It wasn't awful though.

Entertaining from start to finish.

So sweet to hear about true friends having each others backs throughout life's crazy curve balls it throws at you.

Fave book in one of my fave NR series

My favorite book in the Bride Quartet, which is one of my favorite Nora Roberts series. 4 women who were childhood friends start a wedding business together. This is a character-driven lovely romance that has photographer Mackensie Elliott learning to overcome her commitment issues with Carter Maguire.
Not that thrilled with the narration. The edge of shrillness in the female voice didn't work for me.

A fine beginning

I loved this book as it was a step above the usual romance novel. Witty dialogue & lovable characters plus clever writing make for a very enjoyable experience.

Enchanting Professor McGuire :)

I had no problem with the narrator. This is a simple romance and as far as I was concerned was a fun listen, requiring little sophistication in narration. The romance in this first book of a quartet was very enjoyable and Carter, the man in this first romance was charming, vulnerable but very self assured about what he wanted in Mac.
No surprises in this series but fun listens and fun character development. Will never be recommended reading from a scholarly perspective but I have enjoyed listening a few times.

What a Vision

As usual Nora Roberts has done it again. She has put together another great story with characters that you care about and identify with. I cannot wait for the next books in the series to come out. If you love books by Nora Roberts, you'll love this one too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Wonderful Story / poor performance

I love this entire series. Great character development and storyline.
However, Emily Durante's voice is quite irritating to me, perhaps amaturish. The intonation is like a first-year kindergarten teacher reading to her students. When I listen to Ms. Durante read, I feel like she is reading "down" to me.
I will avoid future books that are narrated by Emily Durante.
