About this listen

Missing jewels, a witch's dagger, and murder.... Just a regular day at Cardinal Woolsey's Knitting and Yarn shop in Oxford.

When glamorous vampire Sylvia discovers a movie company is remaking one of her most famous silent films, she's determined to get some creative input and decides to make knitting-shop owner Lucy the beneficiary of her estate. Lucy will front for Sylvia in dealing with the movie executives who want to recreate the priceless Cartier jewels made specially for the original movie and still owned by Sylvia.

Meanwhile, Lucy's moving along in her witch's training. It's time to choose her own athame, a dagger that she'll use for spells.

With all that going on she's barely got time to run a knitting shop, never mind solve another murder.

I loved every minute! I'm semi-new to the cozy mystery genre but this series so far has been a wonderful roller coaster ride that if available I'm buying the actual books because if there's ever an EMP or my Audible is forever taken from me I can still revisit these amazing stories over again, no electricity required!

WOW! 😄

Diamonds and Daggers was just okay. I enjoyed the plot but found Lucy annoying.

I would have never forgiven Silvia, for everything she put people through, then played the blame game. she's a user.

I love this series of books! Well written and narrated. Just enough mystery and comedy.

Fantastic story! Wonderful characters! Delightful plot twists! I always love the scheme and the way it all ties together in the end

Interesting story lively characters

I enjoy the characters in the series. However I would enjoy more witchy efforts from the main character, who is somewhat blasé about the whole subject. And she comes off in this story as overly naive and foolish to a point. To the extent you could see right where the story was headed at the start. And the vampire Sylvia, was really sort of a jerk, in my opinion. And I thought Lucy didn’t really address the issue of her behavior, instead just going along with everything at the end. Not my favorite book of the series. But I still like the series overall.

Mixed feelings at the end, but still a good series

This story has some semblance of what attracted me to the first one in the series. Less predictable, less dumbing down of the main character, while still keeping some mystery alive in the story.

Love the narration by Sarah Zimmermann. Story line keeps dragging on though there us a new murder each book and Lucy always pulled into them. Poor Rafe, asked Lucy twice to marry him and she keeps stringing him along. All they've done is kiss.

Interesting
