About this listen

Reagan

I hate him. Jude Titan is everything that's wrong with the male sex: cocky, domineering and loaded with swagger. Oh, and did I mention he's a Republican? Yeah, the guy's so conservative he leans to the right when walking. And lucky me, I'm running against him for Senate. But I've got plenty of fight in me. A golden boy war hero opponent with a smile that leaves melted panties in its wake? Bring. It. On.

Jude

Damn, she's sexy. Reagan Preston intrigues me from the moment I lay eyes on her. And speaking of laying...I want between those thighs. But I want to make her burn for me first. Every debate and stolen moment is foreplay for us. She claims she hates me, but her body tells a different story. I plan to win this election, but I also want to win the sharp, fiery Democrat who captures my attention like no woman ever has. Politics is filthy, just like all the things I want to do to Reagan Preston.

Really liked it

I've never read a romance about politicans so I was intrigued. It was a good story well developed. Only thing was that I kind of felt like the female character maybe a little bit lost her own goals. She went from Dad to love interest and never really felt like she had her own plan. Would have liked to have seen pioneer her own cause at the end.

5 "FREAKING HOT" STARS

Any additional comments?

This is my first book by the authors and I must say it will not be my last. This book had everything you could ask for in an awesome read. Who knew that politics could be so hot. Jude and Reagan were so hot together. This was such a feel good romance and narrators did an excellent job. I already have the next audiobook in this series and can't wait to devour it.

Just Wow!

I have the biggest most stupidest happy grin on my face as I am writing this review! 😆
I love this book for different reasons, one, it is so fun and makes you excited for what will happen next, two, it's a good fantasy and hope on politics different from the real world of politics...it's romantic, hot, dangerous, surprising, and exhilarating in many ways!
Maybe I am being biased and subjective but this book is definitely worth the read!
Thank you for the narrators who made the emotions come alive❤👍

Great enemies to lovers romance

Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York did an amazing job bringing one of my favourite reads to life.
OMG where do I begin this book is a brilliant read and a great book to listen to, I love both of these authors but I wasn't sure how this collaboration would work no worries there it WORKED !!!!!
Reagan and Jude are political enemies but that doesn't stop the electrifying chemistry between them. This story is about the ups and downs of their relationship and the issues that puts on the campaign they are both fighting to win. Jude is a sweet ex marine who is a decorated hero and Reagan comes from a long line of politicians both on opposite sides but when it comes down to it love doesn't care what your political views are. Throw in the advisors who are trying to dig up dirt on both of them and you will be wondering If they can overcome the pressure that family and friends are putting on them to win the election and not be together.
This is a great romance with incredible characters and a lot of flirtatious banter. The perfectly paced narration made this a book I really didn’t want to end.

Wow!

This was my first romance novel to be read as an audiobook. I really think the story was enhanced by the readers’ voices. I loved the husky timber of “Jude’s” voice and the changing quality of “Regan’s” voice. The story line was great. The romance of two people who shouldn’t be involved fighting their attraction was great. I kept thinking and waiting for the other shoe to drop and when it did with a secret affair and children I was shocked. To me the ending was just right, Regan was happier doing her own thing and not following in her father’s footsteps. I thought the befriending of the half siblings was a nice touch as well. Happily ever afters are my favorite kind of story.

Thumbs Up for Dirty Work

Would you consider the audio edition of Dirty Work to be better than the print version?

Having never read the book I can't honestly voice an opinion. I enjoyed the audio very much. The story was well written. The charactors were great. Plot and sub plots flowed nicely. Narrators did a marvolous job.

What other book might you compare Dirty Work to and why?

I personally try to not compare books. Each author is unique in their own right. Some are better than others. I might compare books by the same author, however, this was the first time I have listened to one of Chelle Bliss's works. I fully intend to purchase the next book in the series Dirty Secret.

What does Kirsten Leigh and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Narrators always bring their own interrutation to any story. They put their own spin on the charactors. Leigh and York both brought this story to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I liked that Reagans father angered me. He is a very frustrating charactor. I loved Jude for his compassion and honor.

Any additional comments?

I really liked the passion between Jude and Reagan. Not only in their sexual attraction, but in their careers, their views. The flow of the story was really well done. The only irritating part was the charactors introduction to the new chapters. Instead of saying, "Jude...chapter 8" They always used the first and last name, like we wouldn't know who they were. Just a minor annoyance.

An unlikely but fun story of politics and honest rivals

A totally escapist romance with a political theme. Too bad our politicians aren't more like Jude and Reagan! When you are totally disgusted with politics, this makes a nice fairy tale!

5 It's a Landslide Victory Stars!!!

Kristen and Sebastian brought an entirely new feel to this book for me. I read it when it was first released but listening to it recently reminded me how much I loved the book!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about this book, but what I got, was a great read that was funny, and enthralling and hot as all get out!! Jude and Reagan are opponents running for the Senate in the great state of Illinois. Reagan comes from a strong political background as her father was also a politician as it's a given she's going to follow in her father's footsteps. Jude on the other hand is a war vet who believes in running for the right reason and helping the people. What neither of them ever considered is that they may be attracted to their opponent.

This is where the story gets SO GOOD. What starts as a flirtation blossoms into so much more. I loved how this book written in a dual POV and I seriously couldn't tell which author wrote which chapter. I was so enmeshed in the story that I just kept turning the pages to see what happened next.

These two together are so much better than they are apart. They balance each other which is something that Reagan and Jude really needed. The fact that she's expected to do this rather than wants to do this really tugged at my heart. To feel that kind of pressure has to be so tiring. Jude on the other hand is dealing with a lot of PTSD from his time in the war. This has an effect on him emotionally and physically along with what drives some of his campaign promises. There's a very poignant part of the book that literally had tears streaming down my face. When Reagan finds out about it, it changes her view of Jude and in a good way!

As would be expected in a book that's driven around politics there's not a shortage of zingers and things coming out of the closet. And WOW is all I can say when this stuff happens... totally didn't see it coming, but it was just what Reagan needed to make a life altering decision.

This is a book that is a MUST READ for any fans of Ms. Bliss and/or Ms. Rothert. It's well written, gets you engaged from the get go and doesn't disappoint in delivering a phenomenal story!

Gosh, Who Knew Politics Could Be So HOT!

I loved EVERYTHING about this one! The cleverly written story! The STEAMY, HOT, OFF THE CHARTS CHEMISTRY! The characters! The conflict of interest! The secret texts! The stolen moments! Ok, I didn't love everything.....why did she have to have all the dirt, and he was squeaky clean! 😏At first, I was all Team Reagan, then comes the swoon worthy Jude with his seductive charming self, and I was a goner....All his teasing, flirty, and steadfast morals had me cheering for Team Jude! Wow! I loved how these authors pulled off the ending! I'm definitely getting the next audio in the series!

Loved the narration, Kirsten and Sebastian killed it!

Dirty Work was an AWESOME audio, and fun to listen too! I loved it! And all the sizzling hot chemistry! For me, it's FIVE STARS all the way! Well worth the time, credit or sale.
