Some clever, some moving, some trite. A fair blend of story styles. Overall entertaining and satisfying for a Dr Who fan.

What did you love best about Doctor Who: 12 Doctors 12 Stories?

Each story caught the personality of each of the doctors very well and each short story is well written.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Doctor.... what a silly question. Each regeneration of the Doctor is well represented and feels like the adventures belong wedged in between episodes of the show.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I liked all of the narrators and they all did quality work, however, I feel I need to give Nicholas Briggs special mention. His story worked so wonderfully with his voice and narration style that is was just a treat to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would try, but it was too long for such a thing.

Any additional comments?

Very fun and recommended for anyone wanting to explore Doctor beyond the version they're familiar with.

A fun Doctor Who sampler

Entertaining, but the 5th Doctor's story was the weakest, he was barely in it. Also wish less stories took place in America because the narrator's trying to do American accents is pretty bad.

Needs more Doctor and less American accents.

Love it so much that I listen to it over and over again. Well done!

I'm not good at reviews, but I can say with certainty that this set is worth listening to. I enjoyed every story. The only way it could have been better is if it had been read by the actors.

Nice collection of stories.

Over all, I really enjoyed it. Felt like they really captured the various personalities of the different doctors. Favourite stories would have to be 5, 10 and 12. The only thing I didn't like was that it had to end. Hopefully they do another one!

Loved it

I got this on sale and don’t regret the purchase. Some of the stories are quite strong and some are misses. Some of the reading is quite strong and some are misses. Sometimes you’ll suffer an ok reading because the story is good.

If you liked the old series this is an OK buy. The fourth doctor sorry was good but forced in places. The first was not well done but it wasn’t the worst of the lot. That honor goes to story 7. I couldn’t finish it.

If you liked the new Who and wanted to see what the other doctors were like skip this and go to Big Finish where they narrate their own adventures whose writing are far better.

Overall a great collection with some misses

As a way of re-experiencing the many Doctors, the book is great. As an introduction to the Doctor Who universe, I think it's less effective: a Doctor Who novitiate would be better served, in my opinion, by focusing first on a few adventures involving a single Doctor before branching out.

The stories here are somewhat uneven, as are the narrators. The ones that were most resonant for me were the ones for the 11th and 12th Doctors (stories by Neil Gaiman and Holly Black). My least favorite was the one for the first Doctor: I just can't picture William Hartnell with a prosthetic hand. Still, if you're already a Doctor Who fan and want to spend 12 hours being entertained, this will fit the bill nicely.

Good diversion

I am glad I got this book. The voice acting was really good. At times they got the voice of the Doctor just right. The stories capture the different personalities of the Doctor and his companions perfectly. The stories are fun and engaging. There was only one story that I had issues with and that was because it kept talking about a companion that I didn't like that much.

Almost as good as the show
