About this listen

Never mix business with pleasure. Sound, easy-to-follow advice, until you find yourself fantasizing about your boss 24 hours a day.

Dr. Will Cummings is the star of a medical reality show that's practically blown up overnight in popularity, and I'm the new nurse at his practice.

Unfortunately for me, I'm also the nurse who made a completely awkward first impression by introducing myself while he was in the middle of a pap smear and ending the day by accidentally showing him my ta-tas. Yes, that's right. I gave my new boss a peep show. Gah.

You'd think I'd have already put in my resignation and moved to Alaska, but no. I'm still here, getting to know just how much more Dr. Will is than a handsome face.

He's funny, charming, and the kind of strong, successful man any woman would be lucky to land...including me. Especially me.

I know he's off-limits, but when it comes to my fantasies, the hot doctor is in.

Contains mature themes.

Geez, I needed that…

I started the audio of Dr. OB at the right time on a perfect day in the best possible week. This week has been a bloody SHOCKER!! Everything has gone wrong. Things practically exploded in my face, my boys' schedule was sending me to an early grave and PEOPLE were annoying me. I wish PEOPLE would stop annoying me. Anyways, at my breaking point, with a croak in my throat from holding back the tears, I started my adventure with Dr. Obscene.

The tears came, alright, but they were tears of mirth. I needed this obscene, crass and hilarious story.

It was the weirdest thing, with every bad thing that happened this week, for a little while, I was able to escape into the romantic world of obstetrics. I hear you scoff. Obstetrics??? Romantic??? Well, maybe not romantic but definitely sexy. Oh boy, does that sound bad? Ok, yes, I know that sounds bad and it is kind of bad, but it was also really good. It was all about what Dr OB could bring to the stirrups (wink, wink). Sorry, I couldn’t help myself, this story left my mind in the gutter.

Look, I can see you’re all squirming in your seats thinking about an Obstetrician in a sexy way. I guess, in some way, I can separate it from my reality. See, my Obstetrician/Gynaecologist wears a bow tie and there is NO WAY I would ever, Ever, EVER be thinking of this story when I go for my next ob/gyn visit. Poor male ob/gyn doctors, they need their own HEA too. They can’t help that they look at vaginas all day. We need to be more sympathetic. At least they “get” things better than the average joe and are a wee bit more sympathetic to what a girl suffers (hand to my forehead, woe is me).

I think the narrators do a fabulous job in this one. Yes, I still have a wee problem with blokes trying to do a female character, but, I could look past it because he does one hell of a sexy male character. Both narrators were easy to listen to and I had no problems understanding them or being able to tell when the characters changed. Top marks to the narrators.

I wouldn’t say this was an easy storyline to love. Unfortunately, our dear Dr Will has been around the hospital a time or two (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). He’s paying for his past indiscretions by having his reputation and dedication questioned. When he finally finds a woman who he wants to have a serious relationship with, she’s seeing him in a very obscene way in the worst possible light.

If you don’t take it too seriously and are the kind of person who believes a leopard can change his spots, Dr OB on audio might be perfect for you.

Warning: Listening to the audio of Dr. OB in public may cause extreme embarrassment. You may suffer uncontrollable snorts of laughter, body-shaking spasms of glee and face contortions from trying to hold back smirks and smiles. It is advised that a private, sound-proofed room is found to enjoy the full benefits of this audio.

Good story but awful execution

It was a lovely story (not great, but not bad) but the narration was horrible in my opinion. I wanted to stop listening many times. The female narrator felt flat to me. The male narrator sounding more childish with his acting than I could imagine this OB/GYN character being. The narration made the story seem fairly terrible to me, until I took a step back to think about it.

Did not finish

The way the male narrator does female voices is not only irritating but insulting. Also, does the author hate her parents? It is one thing using them for comic relief, but it seems juvenile and distracting. I could not finish and didn’t even make it to the point where the main couple met each other.

Love this romantic comedy

I kept seeing this in my suggested list, but it seemed kind of cheesy based on the description, but I finally read over some of the reviews that indicated that it was worth the purchase. So I bought it and I'm glad I did because it was really cute and funny.

During the first chapter, I thought I had made a mistake getting this book, but as I kept listening, the dialog got so cute and funny that I was giggling at many parts of the story. Even though, this was somewhat of a typical doctor falls for his nurse story, there was so much more to it. Plus, for those who appreciate intense vanilla sex scenes, than this book will appeal to you. This writer creates some hot love scenes that will make you swoon.

As far as these two narrarators go, I'm not familiar with them, but they did a good job bringing this book to life. My only complaint was that I did not like the males voice when he attempted to do his female voices. He does a wonderful job when he reads any male dialog but he is a bit corny on the female parts . The female narrator was great and delivered both female and male parts exceptionally well. If you like funny romantic comedies, than this book is worth the purchase.

*Please note that the Billionaire series should be listen to first before the Doctor series in order to understand all the over- lapping characters and big story line.

the female storyline is nauseating

either she is woefully naive which I deemed doubtful or she is extremely ignorant which I'm leading strongly too the way she goes through her process of thinking when it comes to relationship with Will and how she judges him from his past relationships like she doesn't have something unique with him until after they get back together is frustrating to say the least

Why do female characters whine too much?

Light and easy read. I liked the male narrator more. And his character in the book.
