Publisher's summary

Winter is leaving the residents of Glenkillen snowbound, but Eden isn't about to let the weather dampen her spirits. With only a little time left in Scotland, she's determined to make the most of it - starting with attending a fancy whisky tasting with local looker Leith Cameron. But her classy date turns into a major party foul after a woman is found drowned in one of the vats of alcohol.

Eden immediately steps in as a Special Constable to help solve the case, but her investigation turns sour when she realizes that the killer could be somehow connected to her own Scottish heritage. Now, in order to find the proof she needs to put the murderer behind bars, she'll have to take a shot at unearthing her family's past-before she herself winds up buried....

Surprisingly Good!

Honestly, I was expecting an easy cozy series to kill the time. I was not expecting such a fun series with an excellent narrator! Hope this series continues.

Interesting

The author had me stumped for nearly 3/4 of the way through the book! Interesting and not the good looking man to the rescue kind of book! Loved the surprises along the way!

Overall, a very fun story and series. Skeptical at first, I’m now fully and joyously loving these books.

Another exciting adventure

Anyone who likes knitting and murder will like this series. Although this was the final of the 3 and a little fryer than the other two in places it still had a good sense of the characters that we’ve grown to love. Wish there were more!

Old Scottish Clans and The Making of Plans

The third in the Scottish Highland Mysteries finds Eden Elliott and her handsome kilt wearing beau, Leith Cameron invited to a fancy whisky tasting at Glenkillen Distillery. The owner, 90-year-old, Bridie Dougal, has secretly invited them both, unbeknownst to Eden and Leith. And the day of the event, she summons Eden to her home to divulge the reason: She’s received a threat . . . and she also knows something about Eden’s past and her father’s disappearance. With the time drawing near for Eden to depart Scotland (her six-month visa expiring), she is saddened to be leaving. When Leith and Eden attend the whisky tasting at Glenkillen Distillery, Eden is upset to notice an old flame of Leith’s is also in attendance. But she doesn’t have long to pout, because soon their attention is turned to the fact that a body is found floating in a vat, dead in the warehouse. Since Eden is Special Constable to the local police force, she quickly begins her investigation. This is the best, by far, in the series, with twists and turns galore. It seems to tie up a lot of loose ends (besides solving the murder case). I absolutely LOVE the jargon, the people and the atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands. I hope that there will be more to come!
