About this listen

When two worlds collide, can anything survive the Echo?

The apocalypse begins at two o'clock on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. Strange music emanates from the sky, mesmerizing everyone and luring us outside. Then the sky splits open, and terror rains down on the Earth. Monsters rampage, ripping apart any living thing they see while powers beyond comprehension destroy my city.

I'm a librarian, not a warrior. But now I must find a way to survive and stop these monsters. How? By allying myself with one of the beasts. He calls himself Dax, and he claims I'm to blame for the end of the world. The only way he will protect me is if I give him my body. The scariest part is that I want to do it. He terrifies me. He hates me. But something about the gruff, angry beast of a man brings out a dangerous desire I never knew I had inside me.

But the Echo wants its due. Only the one who created it can save us now - or drag us deeper into the depths of hell.

Echo Power is the first book in the Echo Power Trilogy of dark, steamy paranormal romances.

Dark, steamy dystopian paranormal romance

This is the first book in the Echo Power trilogy, a dark, steamy dystopian paranormal romance. Allison and Dax's story is well written, steamy, suspenseful, and action packed, filled with unpredictable twists and turns. Allison, a human, is strong, smart, and feisty. Dax, a beast, is dark, enigmatic, and determined. I liked the banter, and the slow burn romance. This is a great enemies-to-lovers romance. The world building is original and captivating. Impossible to put it down. John Hartley and Stella Hunter did an outstanding job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to Echo Dominion, the next book in the series.

Fun, edge of your seat paranormal romance!

I was intrigued by this book from the moment I started it. This story starts at the beginning of the apocalypse and Allison is taken hostage by Dax. They both dislike each other but are both attracted to each other and can’t fight their chemistry. I enjoyed watching them learn to trust each other as they navigate this new world they are in. I loved how Allison doesn’t see Dax as the monster he thinks he is. Anna takes us on a wild ride that had me on the edge of my seat the whole book. John Hartley and Stella Hunter narrate this book and their performances were top notch. They did an amazing job bringing Dax and Allison to life.

I thought this story was fantastic and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this world.

Fantastic start to a new series!

Non-stop action in this heart-pounding start to a new series by Anna Durand. The world starts to fall apart before Allison’s eyes and as she tries to survive the strange new happenings, she is captured by a mysterious man called Dax. I don’t want to give too much away, but they have to stick together to try and stop the world from being destroyed. I cannot wait to find out what happens next on their journey.
Fantastic performances by Stella Hunter as Allison and John Hartley as Dax.

Such a great listen!

Explosive start to this new series by Anna Durand. Allison is a librarian. Her job is to help people find the books they are interested in. But helping one unusual man find books on quantum physics left her uneasy. Little did she know how their chance encounters would change the world. Dax is going to do what ever it takes to stop the Echo from taking over the world. As the apocalypse begins, his sole purpose is to find the last piece that his brother needs to make it all come true. Allison. He never expected to fall in love with her. Durand takes us on a wild ride of obsession and power. Dax may seem the monster, but he is fiercely loyal and protective. Allison finds strength she didn't know she has and love for an unsuspecting person! This is exciting, fast paced and a great start to this series! Can't wait for the next part.

Stella Hunter and John Hartley make a fantastic team for this narration. Hunter brings Allison alive. From hesitancy to bad a$$, she creates a fantastic character. John Hartley brings his smooth, British accent out with that alpha quality. He makes it easy to love Dax. These two bring an array of others to light as well, with characters we love and hate, all perfectly fit voices. It's a fantastic listen.

Steamy, exciting, great performances!

Echo Power is a steamy paranormal, enemies to lovers, falling for your captor/protector, apocalyptic sci-fi thriller that hits the ground running with nonstop action as the world as we know it abruptly ends in chaos and blood. Allison finds herself at the center of a world on fire, where monsters are real and they rampage what’s left of her city killing everyone in their path. When she meets Dax, a snarling, angry antihero, they quickly realize they should work together to survive this new unforgiving world. Their undeniable attraction results in excellent steamy scenes and non-stop action!

John Hartley and Stella Hunter deliver excellent performances, really bringing all of these complex characters to life with truly emotional performances. This is book 1 in the trilogy, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Great beginning to a new series!

Good beginning to a new series! The story is wild and really took my imagination on a trip. The characters are interesting and I could not wait to find out more about them. Both of the main characters have good growth and I cared how they were going to get out of this mess.

I did listen to this on audio. The narration is done well and these are both authors I have listened to before. I am looking forward to more in this series.
