THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES...

The chilling suspense novel from the author of Brotherhood in Death.

After a party in New York, Lieutenant Eve Dallas rides home with her billionaire husband, Roarke, happy to be done with cocktails and small talk.

After another party, not far away, a woman retires to her bedroom with her husband - and walks into a brutal nightmare.

Their paths are about to collide...

When the young woman - dazed, naked, and bloody - wanders in front of their car, Roarke slams on the brakes just in time, and Eve, still in glittering gown and heels, springs into action. It's been a long night for the tired homicide cop, and it's far from over.

Daphne Strazza is rushed to the ER, but it's too late for Dr. Anthony Strazza. A brilliant orthopedic surgeon, he now lies dead amid the wreckage of his obsessively organized town house, his three safes opened and emptied. Daphne would be a valuable witness, but in her terror and shock the only description of the perp she can offer is repeatedly calling him "the devil"...

While it emerges that Dr. Strazza was cold, controlling, and widely disliked - and that he treated Daphne like a trophy wife - this is one case where the evidence doesn't point to the spouse as the first suspect. So Eve and her team must get started on the legwork, interviewing everyone from dinner-party guests to professional colleagues to caterers, in a desperate race to answer some crucial questions:

What does the devil look like? And where will he show up next?

Always a Winner!!!!

J D Robb does it again. This is one of my favorites. Dallas and Peabody worked to find a killer who targets couples. Rapes the female and assaults both. It all starts with a naked woman runs front Eve and Roarke's car coming from a party.

Follow Eve and Peabody as they and he rest of crew dig out the clues needed to find the "the crazy."

A Uniquely Eve Dallas Mystery

What did you love best about Echoes in Death?

I love the comradery between Eve, Roarke, Peabody, McNabb and all the rest. That continues on in this book. I am constantly amazed at JD Robb's ability to come up with another unique murder mystery; how it's done, the hoops Dallas jumps through along with her team to come up with the solution and ultimately, who the murderer is. I never see it coming.

What did you like best about this story?

It's always fascinating to watch how Dallas works through a crime.

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I can't imagine anyone else reading these books. She fabulous!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The devil made me do it?

Fantastic as always plus

I wait for each new edition and the progression of the characters are always great. Plus you stay true to the entire theme and the narrator which I believe gives it more depth and detail. Thank you for another great book. I buy all of them. Noticed some are not on audible so consider adding them. Please and advise us they are available. I'll buy them immediately and know your other fans will as well.

Story and character

v,jmc. Loved this book, especially the characters of Eve Dallas and Rouke. Their lives are to be admired, just how peoples past doesn't dictate their future.

Always a good book!

I always enjoy reading/listening to the "In Death" books. The story line is intense and sensitive. I applaud how Ms. Robb/Roberts approached executed this intense and often times overlooked crime. She let us see an additional side of Eve Dallas and how she has evolved from her past.Well done!
