I will always love Poe

I think the recording is good as the narration spot on. I sped it up at 1.5x... Otherwise it felt draggy. These awful tales never fail to be awful. Poe was a master at madness and that downward spiral. Pulling his character and the listener downward together.

Three Great Tales of Horror!

Edgar was one creepy ol' nutter!! The Black Cat was new to me, and very creepy.

Excellent Trio

This was my first listening experience with Poe's stories and it was quite enjoyable. I enjoyed revisiting these tales and the narration added to the eerie quality!

Better than Pumpkin-spice in Autumn

October and Edgar Allan Poe go together better than anything pumpkin spiced could add to your fall. This collection is quick and packed full of horrors - a great way to spend a little over an hour. The narrator, Earl Hammond, is excellent. However, I would detract half a star, for the audio quality faltered in the last story.

Very dark and evil

Excellent writing and narration! Only listen to this when I'm in very positive mood. The excellent narration brings it to life!

Good Stories

Only issue is the audio quality. It isn't terrible but a little scratchy. However, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

A poor recording.

The overall performance and story are good. Unfortunately, the recording sounds like it's copy of a cassette, one that is warped and not very good.

Eerie Edgar! Exemplary Narration.

I vividly recall these stories from high school requires readings; however, the experience wasn't event remotely comparable to this audible masterpiece.

3 Stories & 3 Narrators...

The first two narrators felt somewhat distracting from the story due to their stage acting quality. The last story's narrator was better. I actually liked reading rather than listening on this particular series because of that. Listen to the sample first. If this was helpful, please click YES below. Later.
