Poe Stories

I love the classic stories from Poe, this was truly a treat. The only issue I have is that it has a skip or glitch every so often.

Loved It

I have been a fan since I was in the 6th Grade. I still find enjoyment in his work.

Good collection for the price.

For the price this is a great collection. The narrator has a nice soothing voice and the pacing is good. I'm actually using this to slow down before going to sleep. The problem is that the content isn't really marked well so you have no story titles etc. If you just want all of Poe for one low price which sounds great get this!

Edgar Allan Poe's: Book Review

I love the stories not all of them. The gentleman, that read them, voice was hypnosis.

Narrator must have taken a speed-talking course

Too bad I cannot return this recording. Poe is amazing. But the narrator is awfully fast and does not even pause between stories. I sorely wish I could return it.

Poe

excellent author and represents all of his works. The narrator did a superlative job helping us get through the dark passages of Edgar Allan Poe.

Sub-par Narration

The narrator offer struggles and stumbles over
words, when he is not mispronounced them outright. I found this extremely distracting, and it definitely took away from my enjoyment of the book. I originally purchased this as an audio-sync, however this feature stopped working several hours in and neither I nor the customer service/technical support could get it working again. I had to finish this book as solely an audiobook. Had I not been so far into the book I would have found a version with a better narrator.

no chapter titles.

Without labeled chapter titles you can't easily skip to a certain story. I would like to hear "The Cask of Amontillado" but I have no idea how to find it among dozens of unmarked chapters.

Not the right narrator for this

I could hardly make it through the first chapter. Is there another narrator who can tell these stories?
