About this listen
If you took a census within any Sunday Service or Church meeting, at least 80% of the congregants would profess the desire to become a matured believer for Christ. But if you press the group to take their desire into practical day to day applications, the number of willing participants will significantly decline. It begs the point that when most people talk about maturity they mean:
- "I will, as long as it does not interfere with my work".
- "I will, as long as I don't have to be told what to do by someone else".
- "I will, as long as I can simply read and know the Bible in my house or on my own".
The list is endless! Thank God we have the remnants that are willing to go beyond their personal comfort zones to reach the stage where they are more usable by God. Right now four Scriptures flow into my mind. 2 Timothy 2:20: "In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 2 Timothy 2:21: "Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work." This scripture places the responsibility of being useful to God firmly in the lap of the believer.
Of course God is there to help you by His Spirit but you must be committed to playing your part, otherwise the usefulness (not the salvation) of that believer is limited and maturity will be a dream.

But God is waking up his people - people who will risk everything and sacrifice anything to become the dynamic, powerful church seen in Scripture. We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable church. Story
Just like Superman, followers of Christ have the supernatural ability to conquer the challenges we face. But the problem for both Superman and us is there's a kryptonite that steals our strength. Of course, both Superman and kryptonite are fictional. But spiritual kryptonite is not. This book offers answers to why so many people - and the churches they attend - are unable to experience the divine strength that was evident among the first-century Christians. In Killing Kryptonite, John Bevere reveals what this kryptonite is and how to break free from its bondage.

More of God is about moving beyond faith. It is about getting more of God and experiencing more of God. Every book in the Bible, especially the books of the New Testament, is written for this purpose. Take the letters; those who are addressed were already saved. But the writers wanted their hearers to experience not just more knowledge about God but more of God. Everything in this book is designed to make you hungry. As you listen, keep in mind that the ever increasing hunger for more of God is from God.

Story
In this audiobook, Watchman Nee attempts to show from God's word the perfect equilibrium of divine truth. Human nature, however, is prone to emphasize one side to the exclusion of the other side of truth. This has caused much confusion and many problems among God's people. It is essential that we know the balance of truth and hold on to both sides so that our Christian life may be well rounded as God has ordained.

Story
Prophets have always been God's covenant lawyers. Under the Old Covenant, they came as God's lawyers to prosecute his case against his covenant partner, Israel. Now, in the New Covenant, they are still God's covenant lawyers, but the covenant has changed. Instead of pointing out guilt, sin, and condemnation, the New Covenant lawyer's job is to point to the New Covenant, to declare, "You are released from shame; you are forgiven; you are free!"

If it's good, it must be God. Right? These days the terms good and God seem synonymous. We believe that what's generally accepted as good must be in line with God's will. Generosity, humility, justice - good. Selfishness, arrogance, cruelty - evil. The distinction seems pretty straightforward. But is that all there is to it? Story
Every follower of Jesus Christ should be able to answer two simple questions: Who is investing in me?Whom am I investing in? God desires to pour an abundance of spiritual and emotional capital into your life - directly and through older and wiser believers. And he wants to use you to pour spiritual and emotional capital into the lives of others. Along the way, you’ll be changed. Others will change. God calls this process of spiritual investing "making disciples". It’s the heart of the Great Commission.

And yet this letter, Philippians, is the most joy-filled epistle in the Bible. Weaving together modern stories and historical details, Dr. David Jeremiah explores Philippians verse by verse, showing us what it means to be joyful in spite of circumstances.

Story
Major Ian Thomas, a British theologian and teacher and the founder of Torchbearers Bible Schools, spent seven exhausting years trying to live for Christ when he realized that God actually just wanted to live through him. He offered this extremely simple advice in considering the Christian life: Go where you are sent, stay where you are put, and do what you are asked. With her trademark warmth and keen sense of humor, esteemed Bible study teacher Jill Briscoe follows Major Thomas' example to help listeners learn how to allow God to live through them.
