Lovely

My child listens to this every night at bedtime. Falls to sleep to it. These books -- the entire series -- are such a fun way for girls to learn history!

Cute

This isn't what you would think it to be however, it is a very cute book to listen to. It provides you with a viewpoint of things that took place that you would not normally see from an adults view point. Either way if you like books from the Tudor timeline this is a good book.

historical truths

How funny the book is when Elizabeth watches her father try to get on his horse. Because by the end of his life he was a round robust man.

Reach into the heart of Elizabeth I

I've heard about Elizabeth's early upbringing and the bouncing back and forth to Hatfield but have always wanted to get a glimpse into what she could have been thinking. Loneliness seemed to be a predominant factor and it was confirmed in this great book. Performance helped to convey the sentiment.

Elizabeth 1

Great book I loved how it felt as if Elizabeth had feelings and not just portrayed her as a figurehead. Elizabeth's diary made her seem more real. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves experiencing history through the eyes of an actual person

a wonderful biography

this is the perfect book for someone wanting to learn about Queen Elizabeth I and doesn't know that much about her early life, up til the death of her father King Henry VIII. It explains the friction between Elizabeth and her sister "Bloody" Mary, as well some nice insight into the boyhood of the future King Edward VI and Lady Jane Grey.

It also belongs on the shelf of any anglophile.

Good book!

This is a good book if you want to learn about Elizabeth I’s childhood! But hard to hear some of the words! But otherwise good book!
