About this listen
Elspeth Awbrey, formerly Bennet, is the sister of Mr Bennet and the guardian of traditions inherited from their Scottish ancestor, Elspeth MacLellan.
Married to Oliver Bennet, the man who imposed the infamous entail on Longbourn, Elspeth MacLellan insisted that all their descendants, whether male or female, must fulfil a covenant to ensure the welfare and happiness of their family. Under the sign of Cailleach, one of Scotland’s most significant pagan deities, this covenant seeks to mitigate the terrible impact of the entail on Oliver Bennet’s heirs.
Elizabeth is bound to uphold this tradition, a responsibility that weighs heavily upon her, and despite accepting Mr Darcy’s marriage proposal at Rosings, she is on the brink of not marrying him because she struggles to fulfil her covenant.
Our witty and rational Elizabeth plunges into the depths of torment and struggles with dilemmas due to the burden placed on her shoulders, while the conceited Mr Darcy proves, in the end, to be the rock that grounds her, constantly guiding her on the path of love towards marriage.
As always, despite the obstacles, their love triumphs, leaving us with a sense of hope and joy.

Story
So much in life depends on chance and sheer luck. How much do we often owe to being in the right place at the right time? In Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennet plans to visit the Lake District with her uncle and aunt, yet ends up at Pemberley instead, just as, by coincidence, Mr Darcy also arrives home. They meet, understand one another better and all eventually ends well. But what if they did not have such luck? What if Elizabeth actually went to the Lake District and was nowhere near Pemberley, and she and Mr Darcy never met again until another four years had gone by? Now...

Story
What's the worst that can happen when a Regency lady commits a Propriety Violation? Might she suffer acute embarrassment, a tarnished reputation, a forced marriage, shunning of her family, or something even more dire? These consequences might be devastating, but could we countenance a more nefarious possibility?Elizabeth Bennet is enjoying a peaceful morning stroll in Ramsgate when the pleasant sound of the waves is interrupted by a scream. She impulsively reacts and finds her life altered forever. Caution: This story contains brief, non-graphic descriptions of violence, death, and war.

Author’s Note: ‘Flames and Passion at Netherfield’ is the second edition of a book originally released three years ago but removed shortly after. Its original title was ‘FROM PEMBERLEY TO PARADISE’. The story has now been re-published with a different title—one that better suits the narrative. Extensive editing has taken place (special thanks to Tish Holmes for her invaluable assistance), and certain changes have been made. However, the overall structure and main ideas remain consistent with the original version. The tale begins with a dramatic fire at Netherfield, just days ...

Author’s Note: This book features NO significant changes! The story has been re-published with a new cover and minor changes, but it brings nothing new to the readers who have already purchased or read it! Elizabeth d’Arcy is one of my boldest twists—in terms of plot, that is 😊. Napoleon’s spies, outlaws, dangers, and love above all—this story has it all. When Darcy is assaulted in his own home, nearly everyone assumes it is the handiwork of a common thief searching for valuable items—everyone except his aunt Lady Antoinette Darcy. With the sole missing item being the family ...

Mr Darcy’s Legacy - A Love Tested by the Past Author’s Note: This is a newly revised edition of the novel, initially published in 2019, which returns with a striking new cover, significant stylistic refinements that enhance the narrative, and subtle changes to the unfolding of the story. If you have ever entertained the idea of Mr Darcy bearing a noble title, this novel is for you—but the truth is far more complex and intriguing than you might expect. On the verge of marrying the woman who has captured his heart, Darcy finds himself battling his family’s opposition. Lady Catherine ...

Attention: Please note that this is the second edition of this book. Apart from an updated formatting, there is no new content for those who have already read or purchased the previous edition. ‘One Little White Lie’ is the third variation of ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Lyr Newton, the author of the bestselling ‘Mr Darcy’s Household’. It is undoubtedly the most romantic of the three and also the longest. Most of the story takes place in Kent, where Elizabeth is staying with her friend Charlotte Collins, and Mr Darcy is paying his annual visit to Lady Catherine de Bourgh. During ...

Story
What truly occurred at Ramsgate in the summer of 1811 when Miss Darcy journeyed there with her companion, Mrs Younge? Was it mere chance that Mr Bingley chose to lease an estate so near to Longbourn? And was there more significance to the fact that Mrs Gardiner’s family came from Lambton, a town close to Pemberley and the Earl of Matlock’s estate? The Secret of Pemberley delves into these questions and more, weaving together events, imbuing seemingly insignificant details with importance, and introducing a new character—Mrs Wilson, the mother of Mrs Gardiner.
