Emerald Blaze doesn't disappoint! From the first book in this series, I have been hooked and I don't see myself giving up until the end. If you haven't listened, START NOW!

Definitely a Must Listen. The storyline holds your interest within the first few minutes and doesn't let go until the last word. This book is another jewel in the series and a triumph for the author. Great narrator. Listened to this book in one setting, even while in the store. I just couldn't pause it.

... and I don't mean just the title! I laughed, swooned like a blushing virgin and clapped maniacally. The characters are wonderful, even the scheming family members that continue to put wrenches in Catalina's and Alessandro's relationship. Pure brilliance - even the slightly ominous ending.

Best Hidden Legacy novel so far in terms of plot and pacing. Never a dull moment. I listened to it from start to finish in one day. Kept me up last night. All night. I won't regurgitate the story elements but I'll just say that if you're a fan you won't be disappointed.

This moves the overall story along so well, and as with all of this series, leaves you wanting the next installment NOW! The cliffhanger is for the arc of the series, this particular story arc ends in a gratifying manner.
The voice actor was good, though spoke a bit to slow for my taste so I just sped up the speed a little bit and it was perfect.
Can’t wait for the next one!

The authors are spectacular at melding believable urban fantasy and family dynamics.
I’m delighted that this series has heated up and developed so intricately.
The villains creep up on you and you find yourself invested in disliking them and rooting for House Baylor and their allies.
The authors are gifted in their ability to make listeners/ readers feel deeply for their characters. You find yourself laughing at very relatable social situations, family moments and ironic events.
Relationships are complex and believable. Pain and joy and juggling family and the fast paced life of Primes trying to survive in a cut throat society.

All of this is intertwined with investigations of crime and devious plots. The dark undertones and twists and turns will hook you and keep your interest to the last page.

I’m looking forward to the next book!

Love all of Ilona Andrew’s books! This is at least my 3rd time to listen to the this series.

I have read every book this couple has written and enjoyed every one of them. Great story and wonderful characters. They always pick great narrators for their audible books so they are great in any format

After how incredible the first 3 books in this series were Sapphire Flames was a let down, it had a much more Young Adult feel, in Emerald Blaze Catalina grows up a bit, Nevada and Connor are back and we finally learn the truth about Alessandro. I loved the Chinese American water prime and I’m hoping he will be Arabella’s love interest for the next story arc. Anyway Emerald Blaze is better and by the end of the story I feel a lot of the plot issues from Sapphire Flames were resolved. I love Catalina and Alessandro using their powers and the small side story of Bern and Runa. I will definitely check out the next installment.

Catalina has really come into her own and I adored this story. I wasn't sure Catalina would live up to how much I love Nevada but she did! So much action and intrigue along with a very satisfying romance. I want more of Catalina and Alessandro! They are both such great characters - witty, independent, tough, loyal and of course lots of fun to read about. There were a few things about Alessandro that I figured out before they were revealed and one that I didn't. These two characters had some great interactions and byplay that I thoroughly enjoyed. We also get to see plenty of the other family members (although Bern isn't in it as much). I loved Leon's scenes and I'm still not sure about Arabella but we get to see another side to her in the short stories online so I'm sure IA will make me fall in love with her as well.
I love this world - these characters and really you can't go wrong with a book in this series.

The narrator did a fantastic job on this one and really brought both the story and the characters to life. A lot of fun to listen to.
