About this listen

Emma, by Jane Austen, is a novel about the perils of misconstrued romance. The novel was first published in December 1815. As in her other novels, Austen explores the concerns and difficulties of genteel women living in Georgian-Regency England; she also creates a lively 'comedy of manners' among her characters.

Love Jane Austen!!!

The price was VERY attractive so I gave I chance. Don't regret it.
It is not the worst narrator or not the best. It is passable. For the price is great, but we have many other great options available.
Emma is not my favorite Jane Austen book, but I've lost count how many times I've already read and heard it, so I can say that I really like it.
I trully recommend this audiobook with any narrator or the book if you prefer. And of course, I recommend the other ones written by her too.

probably better out there

Hard to listen to Jane Austen in an American accent, and I wish someone had corrected the narrator in her pronunciation of pianoforte. Apart from that, and enjoyable rendering of my least favorite of Austen's novels.

Emma

Most boring book I have ever listened to. Too long and very uninteresting. The language is disagreeable.
