Publisher's summary

Escape to a magical world filled with fantastical creatures, spine-tingling adventures, and burning hot romance, with Beth’s trademark humor, emotional and epic journeys and beloved characters.

There’s a lost prince, hoping to stay lost. Another prince, desperate to be found. An ancient creature, banished from his own kingdom, willing to do anything—even find his own happily ever after—to save another.

Yours, Forever After - After years spent lost in his beloved books, Prince Emory awakens to find his villainous aunt working to usurp his throne. When she sends him on a dangerous quest, he’s certain the journey is a trap, but he’s not willing to accept defeat without a fight. But a fight is something Rory is unprepared and untrained for, until he’s saved by a handsome, unassuming farmhand and his snooty, smug, and surprisingly talkative unicorn.

Yours, Everlasting - Evander has gone by many names in the last thousand years. He’s lived almost as many lives, using his immortality and his unique shapeshifting abilities to become anyone and anything. He's ready for a well-deserved rest. But the past never stays buried, and he discovers that it’s been watching him. Marcos, the Guardian of War, has waited, he’s observed, he’s admired, and he’s yearned. But now it’s time for Evander see him for who he truly is. An ally, not a foe. Maybe even a lover.

Great storytelling and narration

This audio edition of these two stories is exactly the way to do it. The stories are a lot of fun. Great chemistry, intrigue, betrayal (not among the MCs), and lots of fantasy all told to us in wonderful narration. I personally think all fantasy romance stories should come with audio.

This is different than what I am used to from Beth Bolden but feel she does a wonderful job bringing all these men and characters to life with a fun story.

Brennan Rossi does a great job giving voice to these men and their adventure.

fabulous story, pretty good narration

I love these stories, Beth is a gifted writer. The pair of stories are closely intertwined, but each follows a different couple - Rory and Gray are two young princes who fight for their kingdoms and each other in the first story, while in the second we see Gray's advisor and sometime Guardian Evander's original fall from grace, learn how he became entangled in the lives of the young princes, and see what happens when he goes adventuring with his true match (and sometime rival) Marcos. Lots of intrigue and swash kept me thoroughly entertained on a 7 hour long drive and through household chores.

As for the narration, Brennan Rossi is a mixed bag. It felt like he overreached with the accents in the first story, trying a bit too hard and sometimes losing control altogether and, in concentrating so hard on the accents, often seemed to lose entirely the lyricism of Beth's writing. In Yours, Everlasting, he seems to have gotten a much firmer control, making Marcos and Evander distinctive without appearing to stretch too far, and respecting the way the words are written as well as what's written. It's a strong finish to the pair of fairytales, and regardless of some mechanical issues I still highly recommend.

Fantastic audiobook!

I've previously read and reviews the stories here, which were each well worth the 5-star reviews I gave them. This review is for the audio version of the compilation.
I love these characters and their combined story. The romances are satisfying, the friendships are heartfelt, and the relationship between Evrard/Evander and Graham/Grey is something special. The author tells a wonderful story, and I love everything about these books!
The audio version is very well done, and the talented narrator did a great job. I have enjoyed listening this epic tale, and I will definitely look for more stories performed by this voice actor. I will also listen to this one again.

This story is magical

This series has everything you love in a fantasy series. There's magic and mayhem. There's princes falling in love.

The world building was excellent. The character development was strong. I loved these stories. one of my favorite parts was getting to see the relationship development even before the story ends.

Enchanted Folklore

Okay, so at first I was sure that I was going to like this. I am very picky when it comes to accents in books, especially thick accents. Me and my husband listened to this on our way to Louisiana and back. He absolutely loved it. He was like I was just expecting this to be smut with no plot, but he was like the smut scenes were tasteful. I wish book one would have had a little bit more magic in it.

We definitely liked the second one more. I will say the only thing that was hard to keep track of was the amount of names to follow especially Rhys and Marcos. I liked in the second one that you got to meet more of the guardians.

Exceptional storytelling!

My ADHD doesn’t always play well with complicated world building of pure fantasy outings, which is why I don’t read it heavily but knowing @bethboldenauthor was the author of this venture I jumped at the chance to read anything by her.

Now I have mad respect for any author who ventures outside their comfort zone. It’s a sign of skill, and I was genuinely impressed that this author who normally plays in the culinary and sports playgrounds crushed a purely romantic-fantasy outing complete with layered worldbuilding and tons of action.

Now, book 1, Yours, Forever After: lays lot of the narrative’s groundwork and just hits the ground running with our lost prince Graham hiding from an evil sorceress Serena and being taken to a hidden valley by the king of unicorns, Evrard who then cares for him until another prince, one Rory comes into the valley also on the run from the same sorceress, and they team up to take back their kingdoms and inevitably fall in love (with the help of Evrard) it’s packed full of action with a sweet slow burn, and Brennan does a wonderful job with the voices.

I did find the romance gets lost to the plot in book 1, but Beth narrows the scope in Book 2, focusing on Evrard’s past immortal life as a guardian and the unexpected companionship of the Guardian of War’s pining for him over a thousand years. That’s right. As we learn that Evrard was cast out as a guardian of the mortal world, fated to wander the earth, Marcos, Guardian of War, cast his own self out and followed him in secret, watching over him and pining for him… and after a romantic reveal of his identity they agree to travel together to seek out a voice from the immortal realm (it’s a trap obvs) but together they seek to right the chaos of the immortal realm and bring peace to humans, and maybe love to their hearts too (as a treat)

Brennan Rossi REALLY gets into book 2 and the narrowed focus on Evander/Marcos the immortals is so sexy and romantic as they fight and flirt through the story.

Overall a solid read

Wonderful set of books!!!

I love box sets and really enjoy having books from a series in one place. This set follows Rory and Gray, and then Evander and Marcos. Both books have lots of excitement and people who are not who they seem. I really loved seeing the storyline develop and the world the author created.

Great fantacy

The narration is OK. It starts out sounding a bit strained, just like it's being read...but the dialougue has distinguishable voices that made it much better and gets better as the story goes on.

Book 1 Yours, Everafter
Grey ( Graham) and Rory (Emory)
Graham the prince of Artglass is given to an evil sorceress by his Father the king under the Sorceress spell.
He is rescued by his tutor then a magical unicorn.
He lives years alone in the valley as a farmer when the Prince ( Rory ) shows and life changes for them both.
The characters are all amazing especially the cantankerous unicorn.
The plot is exciting and there is lots of action and adventure with plenty twists and turns and a slow burn sweet romance.

Book 2 Yours, Eventually
Evander and Marcos
I loved Evander and Marcos story. Maybe because I already lived Evander from the first book.
In this book we learn about the guardians and why Evander and Marcos are on Earth.
There are so many twists and lots of action.
It is the perfect conclusion for this series.

Great fantasy

I read both these books when they came out, and I was excited to see how they would sound on audio. I have to admit I was a little disappointed at first. The narrator seemed hesitant and careful, like he was afraid he would misspeak or stumble over the words, and I found it distracting. It got better after a few hours (it's a 22 hour book) - either he got more comfortable, or I got used to it...or the story pulled me in enough that it didn't bother me anymore. Still, I wouldn't call the narration any better than average. The story itself is engaging and entertaining, although I enjoyed the second book more than the first. It felt like there was more emotion and personal struggle in it (maybe it was the resistance and denial of their feelings). After the first book, I had many questions, but they were satisfactorily answered with the second book. I liked the way Gray and Rory and their kingdom and people were pulled into the story without revisiting/retelling the story from book I. Essentially Book II encompasses the before and after of the first book, focusing on Rhys/Evrard/Evander and his story. I found Evander a little annoying, arrogant, and (surprisingly) naive, although he does redeem and prove himself by the end. I have to say, though, that Rory and Marcos were my favorite characters of the first and second books, respectively. This is a great fantasy set, with magic, surprises, twists, friendship, abandonment, betrayal, redemption, sorcerers, mythical beasts, and - of course - a HEA ending.

I received a free copy of the audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

To Save A Kingdom

Graham/Gray is a prince who had to flee the evil’s of his kingdom as a child. His father’s advisor Sabrina wanted his blood. She had bewitched his father. For years Gray hid in the valley of lost things until one day Prince Emory/Rory came looking for criminals with his guard. He was sent by his aunt Sabrina, the current interim queen of Fontaine. At this point the epic adventure begins. There is magic, mystical creatures, battle and fated love.
The 13 guardians watch over the humans, but their leader Demos has other plans. He banished Evander Keeper of Secrets, when he argued with Demos’s idea to leave the humans to their own fates. The second book shows how this guardian works to maintain balance. There are many surprises in this part, along with love, faith and determination. Enjoyed every twist and turn in these stories.
