About this listen

The son of a government scientist must be found at any cost in this taut political thriller that "starts off explosively and keeps on rolling." (Joe Hartlaub, BookReporter)

Deep in the American Heartland, a team of assassins goes to work. In short order, a Chechen scientist and double agent for the US government is dead. But the team didn't exactly finish the job. The man's teenage son is still alive. In possession of crucial and potentially lethal information, he's now on the run - and off the grid.

The feds know who to call: Jonathan Grave and his elite rescue team at Security Solutions. Their mission is simple: Find the boy and keep his information out of the wrong hands. But simple doesn't mean easy. The boy has a bodyguard with unusual talents, and she's not giving up without a fight. Only by bringing them both back alive can Grave expose the traitor in the highest levels of power - and prevent an all-out nuclear war.

Too much unnecessary background stories or description of things that are not needed in an otherwise good read.

Not bad

Jonathan character talks entirely to much and Mother Hen is too consumed in impressing people with long diatribe.

This was a good, entertaining book. It's written and read like a movie. I appreciated the great details to hold my interest. If you like action and can appreciate that as entertainment, check out this book!

Action Packed!

What an awesome story. I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait to get another story by this author and/or this narrator.

Exciting

Loved the narrator! I was disappointed to not hear what happened to Gail, a.k.a. gunslinger. I certainly hope that guy does have Jolene as a girlfriend. It would be a hoot. Can’t wait to listen to the next book.

Don’t trust FBI

I’m loving this series of books from JG, I started at the beginning so I’m tilted towards the author but he definitely does not disappoint

John Gilstrap has become one of my favorite writers. I especially like the books about Victoria Emerson!

A lot was going on and I'm glad I was able to borrow the Kindle book for free as well as the Audible book.

I usually listen to books to go to sleep. This book had a lot of violence so I had to stop it and listen to something else.

A great book but too much violence for me

I know it’s fiction, but it still needs to be believable. Bodyguards from the alphabet soup just don’t speak to superiors the way they are portrayed in this book. The action and timing just don’t make sense. It’s fiction but it is so far off base.

Fiction but still so far off
