1st and third books are the best. Book 2 almost lost me. It was an interesting story.

Great series

great listen and almost always exciting which I prefer. The ending was a little too simplistic compared to the detail and explanations given by my favorite sci fi writers. I am glad I listened though. This writing has aged very well and I wouldn't have known it was from the 70s.

had me until the ending

Regardless of what anyone says, I thought these 3 books were awesome. Always at the beginning of 2 & 3, I’d be looking for the same people I left but I was surprised when totally new generational people appeared. I never was familiar with this book before now. Good tension & the very best narrator.

Good book

Three books, three stories, one novel. All three were well written, and finely narrated. The first third of the three books began slow as we were introduced to the possibilitys this Place, and time of human history offered to the listener.
Each involves the same conflicts between a protagonist on the side of humanity while besting an egocentric dark people hungry for power, willing to win through every obsticle of good, smart people who are seeking the greater good for humanity vs egocentric wealth..
All three are the same stuss in a different reality lived in...
I feel like I have a greater understanding of the people who are movers, and shakers in the worlds we live in... - The why, and how of things.

Wow.! I don't know if I can do it justice!

in my opinion, this is the most interesting one in the series. if the first was a thriller, and the second was a mystery novel, then this one is more complex and intriguing

Best of the Series

Nothing unique in sci fi here. Nova is quite good at creating stupid and annoying characters, though.

Galactic Soap Opera

I was skeptical after completing book 2. This is by far the best of this series.

The narrator has a great voice if you're trying to fall asleep. The story is quite basic and takes a lot from better sci fi. If I was going to spend money for it, I'd be better off with Orphans of the Sky by Heinlein. Same premise, but Heinlein did it better. Worth a listen if it's included in your plan.

Better than the first two
