Over a thousand years ago a brave band of Knights of the Round Table agreed to enter Morganna’s castle and remove an ancient spell that allowed the sorceress the ability to travel in time. But they were betrayed and Morganna caught the young men and despite Merlin’s protection, cast a spell upon them that would age them a year for every day they lived as men. Merlin did the only thing he could; he changed the men to horses so they could roam as immortals until someone could break the spell.
For more than one thousand years, the Herdin family was charged with the duty to help the horses and break the spell. Once every hundred years, the signs aligned and another Herdin risked their life to free the knights. This time, Meaghan Herdin’s father, Lord John, is the last surviving male heir in the Herdin line. Will he be able to break the spell or will Morganna and her followers destroy Meaghan’s family?
Set in Ireland in the 18th century, Eochaidh - The Legend of the Horseman, is filled with love, adventure, loyalty and magic.

I liked the history/legend behind the story and the author's take on it. I've seen that her other series have quite a few books in them so here's hoping for the same for Legend of the Horsemen. Often there is a bit of timidity in the first book of a series but Terri Reid came out strong on this first one.
The narrator is quite skilled and did a fine straight reading. She does change her voice for each character so there is a distinction between them. I was thinking partway through, that I would have adored this book to have background sound effects. Nigel Peever does amazing sound effects with the books he works on.
I recommend this book and series and look forward to the next book.
a very good beginning to a series

The narrator, Rachel Ahren did a good job with the character voices but her greatest skill was the inflections in conversations. that portrayed subtle meanings and enhanced the love and mischief.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope to have an opportunity to finish the story through Book 2.
Love the storyline

Rachel Ahrens is wonderful with her narration. She brings the characters to life with a refreshing tone and incredible inflection. I just love to hear her tell this story. I will be looking for other books she has narrated!
My only disappointment with this book was the ending. It's great! The ending will leave you breathless. I was immediately ready to purchase the next book in the series only to find out that...Audible doesn't carry it. 🤨😣😢
Great performance, Enchanting story.
