Publisher's summary

My father once told me, above all else...live and die for Sparta.

Honor. Loyalty. Duty. These were the things that mattered most.

And then Axios came into my life, teaching me other lessons: Humility, brotherhood...love. There were moments when the brutal training stripped me of my humanity, where it turned me into a mindless beast of flesh and muscle set to destroy everything in my way. But then Axios stood in my way, ever vigilant, never failing to bring me back to myself.

Love had no place in Sparta, they said. It made you weak.

So why did I feel stronger with him by my side?

Eryx: A Spartan Tale is a historical gay fiction featuring a love story between Spartan warriors.

Heartbreak part 2

This book was so hard to get through because I've read the 1st one from Axios perspective but it was interesting to see the story from Eryx's point of view. And at least the ending had a light at the end. " In this life and the next."

Epic and wonderful

Such a great story that immerses you in another world and another time. A beautiful story of love and loss. It has me pulling up maps of ancient Greece and making travel plans. It's the kind of book you miss once it ends, and long to hear about all the characters you've grown to love. I read them backwards i guess. Didn't realize Axios is the first book in this story. So I'm off to buy it now and relive the tale again. Just Wow, I've been wanting a book this great for a while!

A hearbreakingly beautiful story of love against all odds.

"In all the ages, there has never been a love like ours. No one has ever loved another as I have loved you. If we fall today, my soul will find yours, for I am eternally yours; in this life and the next".

I cried a river

I was expecting a book to cheer me up because my life has been uneventful lately, and I found this book. Spartans, 1st person, great narrative, so I figured, why not? That’s how I find myself at 4 am, sobbing and screaming silently.

A visceral experience!

The love story between two boys, soon to become men, is set in the culturally disciplined and ruthless training school for Spartan warriors. This story is beautifully written, emotionally engaging, and sensual enough to evoke physical response from this reader.
